  1. I have used both and prefer 4627, colors better, less wetspots, use htp wicks with either one and you'll do fine...
  2. This is for both 4627 and 4630, I switched from 4630 to 4627 but had some 4630 left and it worked with it as well. I took them out in the cold weather to deliver a few, and still did not have wetspots. it was only about 40 degrees out. Before by the time i got them delivered they looked horrible.
  3. Hey Guys and Gals, I have been fighting wetspots for the past 5 months with both 4630 and 4627 wax. I finally got it, and its easier than you may think. I have tried everything that I have read on here about wetspots: Wash the containers in dawn, preheat the containers, cover the containers with a box or put them in the oven to cool, etc... None of this worked, I have poured at temps from 190 to 160 based on recomendations. I added CB135 Soy at 50/50, and got wetspots and frosting. But while messing with the soy I found the solution. I poured my candles between 140 and 130 degrees. No preheating, washing (this is still a good idea), no covering with boxes, no ovens... This worked for me and I was at whits end. I have been double wicking apothecary jars in 5oz, 10oz, 16oz, and 26oz and with these jars Wetspots look horrible. HTH
  4. Thanks for all the info, I have been doing a lot of fragrance testing lately, and am sticking with: Peak Candle Science Aroma Haven I love this Forum, everyone has helped me out so much. I have been selling candles like crazy, (after only 6 months of testing). I have had nothing but compliments and returning customers, and I owe it all to this Forum. I started with 8oz JJ and 4630 wax and an HTP73 at 10% FO. Now I am up to Apothecary jars double wicked in 4 different sizes. You guys Rock!!!
  5. Hey guys and gals, I am so tired of getting weak FO's, I have ordered from several companies so far and found Peaks to be the strongest so far. I just received an order from Candles and Supplies and they are almost water. Cierra Candles being middle of the road. This really angers me because they are not cheap. I buy 10 to 15 at a time of the 1 pounders and it really adds up. I would like to find one company to order all of my products. I would say thats Peak but it takes a week for them to ship to me. Has anyone tried candlescience's FO's?
  6. I have used the 4630 and loved it. It is a true 1 pour wax with great adhesion properties. Excellent cold/hot throw, and not to bad to clean up and work with. I am wanting to try the 4627 on my next batch to see if it is any better.
