  1. I will have to try the one from Candlesource. That would be much less expensive than using the cyclo. Do you find it to be as strong when using as a room freshener?
  2. Ahh, booby bath bombs !!! I am sure there is a marketing scheme somewhere for those.
  3. Slotted spoons, whisks, kraft sticks and ketsup dispensers are all favorites of mine.
  4. Our Super Walmart carries the huge roll and also the smaller roll. But I hate shopping at Walmart.
  5. Welcome back. Isn't a great feeling to be a home owner? And good luck with your storefront.
  6. I just ran out of my Rice Bran in the gallon jugs but when I placed my big Columbus Foods order last month I ordered the rice bran from them. They are only 4 hours from me and shipping charges aren't that bad and I get next day service from them if I order early in the morning.
  7. CareBear ... I soap quite cool and I didn't have a bit of trouble with Peak's Honeysuckle. Definiately a scent I will keep for my soaps and I am thinking of doing a body butter to go along with it for summer. It really has staying power.
  8. Mysticglow .. how did you color yours? I couldn't make up my mind so I just started to heat my oils telling myself I would come up with something when I got to that point. Next time I may layer some natural colors because that neon orange screams a bit too bright. Isn't the scent wonderful? Really makes me drool:drool:
  9. It may have to wait until tomorrow for cutting.
  10. For a great honeysuckle at a cheaper price you have to try Peaks. Very strong & heady and the scent sticks forever in CP soap. Pics? Don't know if that will happen or not. Depends upon how the swirlies turn out. All I can say for now is that the swirls are neon orange and brown with a white base. But I am in love with the scent;)
  11. No, I haven't received my new Upland and I am anxious for it to arrive but I have plenty of other molds here to keep me occupied.
  12. Couldn't wait for the sale and I am on the mailing list but I have a list going for when I get the email. I had to order Sanguigno Orange & Patchouli, Lemon Verbena, Green Irish Tweed, some cocoa butter for making goatmsmilk soap and lemon balm leaves. Sanguigno is in the mold and ready to be cut as we speak:drool:
  13. UPS delivered 40 lbs of lye AND my order from The Scent Works. Couldn't have been better unless they would have delivered my Upland but I ordered it only a week ago. :yay:
  14. I use WSP for only a few items but I have learned to plan out my order so that is falls under the $25 so I get the $6.95 flat rate shipping. Very frustrating, I know.
  15. Melt your stearic in the same way as the cetyl alcohol. Yes, it's the same as you use in candles (or at least I do.)
  16. Thanks for the update. I will put it on my ever growing list of f/o's to soap.
  17. I pour at 200 degrees and it just needs one slight repour on my pillars.
  18. I use the pomace from Columbus Foods and haven't noticed a fast trace and my soaps are white. I think it all depends upon where you get the pomace from.
  19. I have palm kernal flakes in every soap recipe I make and love them. And there are so easy to store without having to refrigerate.
  20. Oh, do keep us posted. For some reason I never thought of using it in CP soap but I love it in candles and have a ton of the f/o.
  21. Does anyone know what the optimal humidity reading should be? I just got a new dehumidifier and can set the level of humidity. Summer weather will be here shortly (I hope) and I want to keep the humidity under control.
  22. Well, she did buy my soap maybe for no other reason than to see the ingredients on the label. I like my recipe and it's tweaked for my skin and the water at our house but she must like it also if she is willing to pay those dollars. For the time being I will ignore her offers. It's funny that I feel so passionate and possessive about a darn recipe, isn't it?
  23. I am going to rehearse my response to her and hopefully she won't catch me off guard. Now she is offering $$ and my lips are still sealed. And yes, it did take me a couple of years and many batches of soap to find what I consider a great recipe.
  24. No, I am not going to ask for anyone's recipe but I am always left standing with my mouth open and can't think of what to say when this gal asks for mine. She lives in my area and sells soap also.
  25. Any good f/o that I should order for CP soaping?
