  1. If I use the jojoba oil for my base do I need the clear or the golden? or does it make a difference. TIA
  2. I just made a batch of Kim's whipped shea and used unrefined shea and my butter came out grainy, what can I do to get rid of the grainy feeling? I didnt melt it or any of my butters just added the oils and started whipping with my kitchen aide.
  3. I just bought the ED mold and made my first batch of soap in it and the soap just pops right out. I was so excited, thinking about buying another one. I used the box the mold came in and put a piece of shipping tape across the top and it worked fine.
  4. I am thinking of buying the red silicone soap mold from essential depot. Has anyone used these and are they easy to get the soap out? They are the loaf molds. TIA

  6. I want to make some body parfaits, would it be ok to use Kim's whipped shea for the lotion part and layer it with the aloe? What lotion or cream do most of you use for the cream part? TIA Sharon
  7. I have been using fillmore feathering palm for my tarts. The website states you can use 12 % fragrance load. Peaks has their feathering palm on sale at 20 % off. Their site states to only use 5 %. What is the difference in the 2 palm waxes? Will Peaks hold 12 % fragrance? TIA
  8. I order my portion cups from a suppliers and I get 2500 cups and lids for $87.00 I dont pay shipping because I can pick them up. I use the 1 1/2 oz and they hold 1oz by weight. I dont want to post the supplier on here but if it will save you some money pm me and I will give you the info. They carry alot of different sizes.
  9. I am using the feather palm wax for tarts but I am not getting a good cold throw. I am using FO's from good suppliers( peaks, candle source ,etc.) How is the cold throw for others using this wax. I just switched from soy tarts because they look bad after a couple of months. TIA
  10. Just got my sample of the 3022 wax. Do I need to add anything to this wax to make tarts? I use the portion cups. What is the best temp to pour this wax? TIA
  11. I have some c-3 soy wax and want to make tarts with it but want to add enough paraffin to keep the tarts from turning white after a few months. What would be a good paraffin to mix with the c 3. I love soy tarts but they look awful after a few months. Thought I would try a parasoy mix. Could some one tell me a good parasoy mix to use I rather have more soy than paraffin. TIA

  13. I dont have any zinc, I have rrd's, cdn's, and some size HTP 62's.
  14. Have been making soy candles for years and wanting to get started in paraffin. I have 4630 in a 8 oz. jj and a 14 lx wick. Just been burning about 30 min. and I think I have too big of a wick. What size should I start with for testing? TIA
  15. Have been making soy candles for years and now wanting to try the paraffin or a blend. Does the 4630 have more hot throw than the 6006? Have been reading about the Kringle candle company, they say their candles are 100% food grade paraffin, is there a difference in the paraffin or is that a sells pitch? Have been reading, reading and more reading trying to decide which wax to start testing. TIA
