  1. Very well said, Meredith. Goats milk soap is my absolute favorite to use especially in the cold & dry wintertime weather.
  2. I add some shavings off a white color block and the cones look like they have been snowed upon. But you can use any color you like.
  3. I gave up on cucumber melon and changed to soaping AH/RE's Cucumber Mint. It is a great refreshing scent in CP soap and is well behaved when soaping.
  4. I start out @ 1 oz per lb of wax and after testing I decide if I should go down a bit from there. Rarely do I go over 1 oz per lb.
  5. The 2 1/2 inch diameter is the same size as a jelly jar and I single wick it with a 44-32-18Z in J223.
  6. I love the scent of Fresh Linen from Natures's Garden and I make alot of room sprays with it. You could just add a bit of rose fragrance oil with the Fresh Linen scent.
  7. If that link doesn't work just google Sunshine soap and candle.
  8. tealightboxes.com Sunshine soap and candle
  9. Pour into a larger container. IMHO tealights are too small to tell how good a hot throw is. The hot throw comes from your hot melted wax in the meltpool and a tealight isn't going to much much of a meltpool.
  10. I will take some measurements tonight but sometimes it makes a difference if you have a dust ruffle on the bed that you want to show.
  11. Maybe I just need a good tutorial on wicking the pillar mold then as I seem to have better luck using wick pins.
  12. I haven't run into the situation you are describing. Normally I put my molds & pins into the oven set on low to melt off any wax or f/o residue and then wipe them down.
  13. 6006A is the low shrink container wax MP125 at BCN. I do wish they would do a bit of work on the their website and shopping cart.
  14. Yes, the spiced cranberry does great in soy.
  15. I definiately would say yes to this question. I would never order soap without ingredients being list.
  16. Great job, Steve. They are pretty and I bet they smell good too.
  17. Now that suppliers have us accustomed to the higher prices of wax I doubt that wax prices will come down at all.
  18. I have ordered from Genwax and you are right, the shipping is crazy!! Just looking for a closer supplier.
  19. I am thinking of changing glassware for my candles and would like to find a supplier that sells tumbers with plastic lid that will fit without poking a hole in the lid. Any suggestions?
  20. Do they still have flat rate shipping of $6.95 for orders under $25 or have they discontinued it?
  21. I like my Upland with cut lines for my goatsmilk soap and I wish the lines were more evenly placed but I have learned to deal with them. For my log molds I have breakaway molds that I need to line with freezer paper which is a pain but I am careful with the liners and can use them 8 or 9 times before having to make new liners. I hope to order some Silvermoon liners for the size I need and have hubby make the molds for me.
