I must be the lone man out because I didn't have good luck with Select Shades. However, I love oxides & ultrmarines in my CP. Also I like some of the Neons.
I thought I had everything figured out that I wouldn't have to place another order for oils with Columbus Foods until fall but my gardener's soaps are selling like crazy so I had to place an order yesterday morn. I got my order via UPS before noon today (26 hrs after placing my order:yay: ) and the UPS man rang my doorbell and waited for me to answer the door and then he carried the boxes into my screen porch rather than letting them sit in the sun. Kudos to both Columbus Foods & my UPS man.
What about out sourcing it first to see how the product takes off and once you know that factor you can decide whether it's worth buying & putting the equipment in your facility. Would you rent a building or purchase a building? Either way, that is alot of cash outlay especially in these financially troubled times.
My neighbor lady has a ceramic shop and has 2 kilns... and a basement with hundreds and hundred of molds. It's amazing. She did it full time when she was younger but now has her shop open only 2 days a week but quite a few ladies come in regularly to paint on their projects. If you have a specific question just pm me and I will ask her for you.
I haven't heard a peep on my order. I just gave them a "ship it or cancel it" message on the phone. How can you run a business when customer communication is zilch?
No updates on my order of May 16 either. I am going to try calling them tomorrow to cancel but how can I cancel if they don't answer the phone?? Some good news is that my Tank soap cutter arrived so I am amusing myself with it. What a wonderful piece of equipment it is and so well built also.
I have had excellent service and products from them. Don't hold your breath while you are waiting for them to make the shopping cart user friendly:wink2: .
Has anyone that ordered an Upland mold when they reopened for business received theirs yet? I am not so patiently waiting and am chomping at the bit to get mine. I ordered on May 16th.
Our area had a community sale today. Best sellers in soap were goatsmilk, lemon verbena, gardener's soap, and black raspberry vanilla. I had quite a few repeat customers from last year and hopefully the word will spread about my soap.
