  7. this will become a valuable resource as it continues to grow. I was also wondering if we could get measurements of the melt pools. I am curious how close they were to manufacturers specs.
  8. How deep are those pans and how much wax does it take to fill them?
  9. Testing out some new jars (11oz libbey heavy base tumbler). They are about 3.125" in diameter. I will be using a blend of 6006/464 (trying to get about 50/50 para/soy). Fragrance will be CS macintosh apple @6%. I want to test out zinc, wood, and RRD wicks. Can anyone help me with which size to start with for each type of wick. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also any other wick suggestions are welcome. Thank You.
  10. Why not just buy a couple and blend you own. So many of the blends have the same EO in them. You should check out the 12 pack deal at the sage.
  11. Its a long learning process to produce quality candles. Hopefully one day I will get there. But for now its just test, test, test and then test some more. But I love it.
  12. Well said, I often get impatient and pre judge my candles before they have burned completely.
  13. Been lurking and learning for a long time. So much great information here that has really helped as I learn the art of candle making.
  14. What great advice I have been remelting mine and starting over. Gonna try this method next time.
  15. Does the direct of heat from the presto pots (versus double boiler) have any negative effect on the wax?
