  1. No, most definitely not. I can't remember the current number, but I'm thinking the maximum usage was/is around 20%. Maybe someone will chime in with the correct number.
  2. I can pour a small test candle and a small lotion with 1/2 oz. I get samples from BC when I order and wish I wouldn't....they always send me the stinkiest ones!
  3. 1 oz. pp on most, none more, but only a few could I use at less.
  4. I love getting a freebie and I am much more likely to add new FOs with companies that send a free sample or two. And I mean a true sample...enough to actually do a small test lotion or candle. Those small sniffie vials are great to see if you like the way something smells, but then you have to turn around and order a sample to test so they make me a little grumpy. I don't think I've ever ordered something new based on a sniffie vial. I like how Scent Works does things. They send one small bottle and then a couple of different sniffies...the best of both worlds. I get to actually try out one thing, then sniff others. They have come the closest to roping me in with a sniffie...I'm tempted every time I order to toss Be Delicious into the cart!
  5. TC Dark Tanning Oil is okkkkk...just ok....seems to be missing something. I bought a fresh bottle of Hawaiian Tropic lotion, but wish I had gotten the oil. It has a truer scent, but I'm not a fan of coating myself in oil and hated to waste a third bottle. lol
  6. I posted this on another board, then realized I never posted it here: I received samples from them and have had one in the shower for a week or so. It's not holding up very well. When exposed to water, the label bubbles up. It does flatten back out upon drying. After 2 days in the shower, the label had a tear on one side and several white marks where the coating scratched off. After 3-4 days in the shower, the ink was running. Now, the label just looks horrible. The white sections are now purple and blue green and the colored sections are extremely faded. The label wasn't even on a bottle that was used. It just had to sit there and look pretty. They are supposed to have a label stock that's better for bath products, but they didn't send samples of those. Their basic gloss stock simply won't do.
  7. Sun & Sand smells like coppertone...perfume-y, not coconutty. Hawaiian Tropic must be a hard scent to duplicate. I've been trying to find one for 2 years and nothing is even close. Good luck!
  8. Oh, those nut carts smell soooo good. The closest I've ever come was Bubbles & Lights roasted chestnuts and spice. I don't recall seeing that at BC though.
  9. Thanks for posting this! I still have a bit of Homespun Sugar, but glad to know it's available. I just ran out of Suzanne's Vanilla Bean Noel, though. :cry2:
  10. That honey shampoo sounds AMAZING. I'll have to check out the site since there isn't a body shop within 100 miles. Marshmallow fluff would be sooo good. The marshmallows I've sampled have either been toasty or what I would call a sweet vanilla.
  11. I prefer the 1st one, but agree that the name should stand out more. The 2nd one is nice as well, but the bright green seems to overwhelm the page to me. The candles in the first pic are beautiful!
  12. http://www.sweetcakes.com/product_info.php?cPath=4&products_id=263
  13. I can't cut back and use less either on most. Same goes for other high-end suppliers, not picking on DS just cuz I'm still mad. LOL Like Candlebuddy, I do love the quality and depth of the fragrances. The more FO's I sample, the flatter the less expensive FO's seem. There's definitely a difference in that respect.
  14. That's what I'm sayin'. Dirty. While I don't understand the need for a cut & dried blanket increase all on one day since oils were in stock at the last price, I do understand that everything is going up so I didn't say much and just hoped for one last order and a sale in the near future. A friend of mine had even ordered sniffies and mentioned that she was planning an order on Saturday in an email. Stacey didn't tell her the prices would increase that day. She didn't get the sniffies until Saturday so she didn't get her order in either. I was going to get a couple of new ones just based on my friend's sniffy rec's. Oh, well... :undecided
  15. Thanks for the suggestion! Honey is a tough scent to get right, apparently. I have samples from TSW, DS, Soap Silly and Taylored Concepts and none of them wowed me. Most either had a heavy floral note or a strange burnt note.
  16. Yikes, looks like I need to just get everything!
  17. I was just going to say you wouldn't see TSW doing a blanket increase and raising prices the day BEFORE an increase was planned and see this in their newsletter: I just tried a sample of Falling in Love type that had been around for a while and am in LOVE. Looks like I know where my DS budget will be split between.
  18. I second that. You would be surprised at the number of people who will buy samples and never a "real" order. You'll waste all your energy on samples when you could be working on other means of getting your products "out there".
  19. Thanks, Eve. I actually have the Bamboo Sugar Cane. I had forgotten about that and didn't remember ever ordering, but there it is on the shelf. It's not my type of scent so I've never used it! Guess I'd better at least try it. At one time, I had red currant & thyme from Lonestar. If it's anything like that one, I definitely want it! I just found the link to Fragrances by Design on the FOH site. I am in B-I-G T-R-O-U-B-L-E
  20. Just searched the FO section and now have way too many on my list! Sorry I didn't do that first. Most aren't spring/summer though so any more suggestions are appreciated.
  21. BBW Iced Tea is nice...bought a small bottle of that one. Second the honey as well...no bakery or floral notes! Never smelled Lush snowcake.
  22. Oooh...Island Temptation sounds like a good one! Can you give me a real-sniff description? Is it heavier on the citrus and can you smell the coconut? Too bad I never sniffed the real thing.
  23. Any rec's for spring/summery scents?
  24. I can't remember sniffing that one. I'll have to do that next week. I'd also like a Hawaiian Tropics...I'm dying for summer after finding last year's bottle of tanning oil! Yum!
