New website feedback

Your website is very professional! I love the jars you've chosen.

I just have a few comments: I couldn't tell what was different about your election clamshells. I think you should work on your "about" info regarding verb tenses and some grammar mistakes. Lastly, unless your "list" and "our" prices are different, such as during a sale, showing both is redundant. I would change "our" price to "sale" price.

Again, it was a very nice website!

Hi,

I think your site looks very nice. I did notice a couple things though, some of your scent descriptions will have 2 listed under one scent. In Banana nut bread, blend is not spelled correctly. In Honeysuckle peach, wonderful is not spelled correctly. Other than that, I love it! Great job!

I really like your site. Clean looking and very easy to navigate. I did notice a candle pic that was labeled as Palm and only saw in the description about soy candles. May considering adding you do palm as well? Or are my eyes reading the label wrong or missed something in your introduction?

Looks good. just a few observations:

1. Work on your expanding your descriptions. What are the container sizes, etc.

2. Your checkout is not showing as secure (https), some people will not order because of this

3. Your twitter and facebook throw a "page not found" error.

4. Get a logo. You can go to digitalpoint (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=94) and run a contest, usually someone will create a good logo for you for under $25.

5. I am confused about the "ready to ship" section. Does that mean these products are ready, but others are not???

A bit of advice a marketing manager at my job gave me when I started my website... Your homepage is the most valuable piece of "real estate" when it comes to a website. You want your best photo(s) of your best product(s) as the main focus on your homepage. If someone were skimming through candle websites and they come across yours, what is it that they would see first? Would they see some text on a banner or logo? Or, would they see your craftsmanship? When searching a site, your best product should pop right out at a customer, and you shouldn't have to scroll down to see what it is that you have to offer. Go to any big name website, and see how they display their product as soon as you get to their site. Just a little food for thought, but you have done an excellent job on your website! Congrats and keep up the good work, it will always be work in progress!

I have launched my new website http://www.lilcandlestore.com and I was wondering if anyone could let me know what you think?

I don't see that you have an "About Us" that tells about your company. You would be surprised at how many people read those. You could add that to the bottom of your page just above the footer (clickable link to a new about us page or something like that).

Also, when I clicked to verify "volusion secure site" I got this message:

www.YourDomain.com is not a valid identity.

And the biggie like some have said, the checkout page is not secure (no https). Is this website customer live? If so, then you better turn your store off until you can get a secure cert. Last thing you need is an unsecure checkout. Your checkout page must be secure.

I'm assuming you just don't have all those details completed yet. Looks pretty good though.
