Meridith
Here are some of my soaps I've recently made. I'm trying to get ready for fall. Top to bottom and Left to right:1. Purely Herbal (BCN). The scent does not match the color but it sure smells wonderful. I'm trying to come up with a new name for this one. I made this in a wood log mold hubby made for me!2 Bergamot & Chamomile (MMS) - I made this one with GM and colored it with charcoal. I'm very disappointed in this scent as it is very light - almost to the point where I can't smell it. Hopefully it will come back. 3. Midnight Pomegranate (OT&L) - this is a very sexy scent but the soap is sorta fugly. But the scent - Love it. I used charcoal and a blend of colors trying to get red - did not quite get it. I got ash on some bars and some bars, as shown in the pic came out a yellow color yet it was all the same batch, in the same mold. Go figure.Middle Row:4. Head Shop (Southern Scentsations) - a blend of strawberry, musk & vanilla. I used the vanilla stabilizer from BCN. I used Select Shades violet red and then another blend of mine trying to get red. Again, I did not get red. Smells wonderful. This scent holds well and soaps with no problems. 5. Down Under (Southern Soapers) - 1/2 of batch colored with Apple Green POP other half colored with charcoal. I tried to do a side by side pour but did not get the colors to mesh together like I wanted. This scent is very nice - smells a lot like Vicks Vapor Rub. Soaped beautifully with no problems.6. Cherokee (OT) - colored with Strawberry POP,copper color and charcoal. Scent is lighter than I like but soaped well with no problems. Bottom row:7. Country Apple (OT) - scent behaved well but is kind of light. It did fade a lot at first but has come back somewhat. Behaved well.8. Baby Hugs (ST) - I think I am going to rename this one to either "Childhood" or "Childhood Dayz" since it is multi-colored. The scent is holding well and soaped nicely.9. Pumpkin - scented with Ol' South Pumpkin Pie from OT and made with real pumpkin and goats milk.

soapmom25
very cool! You could call the 'baby hugs' BUNDLE OF JOY ~ that would fly for baby scents for sure, but just for fun too

mystical_angel1219
Just lovely! *soap porn approval* Purely Herbal is one of the first soaps I ever made, still love the scent. The C&B from MMS I almost ordered last time. I hope this one comes back, it sounds like an relaxing fragrance. Midnight Pomegranate- YUMMAH. I have a lot of Old Tymer & Lily oils, they rock in CP. I have to ask, how is the Head Shop in CP, is the strawberry true? I've yet to find one that I thought was a the real Mc Coy yet. I order from SS once in a while. Since they d/c'd my wax, not as much.

I have to ask, how is the Head Shop in CP, is the strawberry true? I've yet to find one that I thought was a the real Mc Coy yet. I order from SS once in a while. Since they d/c'd my wax, not as much.It is hard to say since it is a blend. It is not a sickenly sweet scent either like some strawberries can be. Very adult. I can also tell you that it soaps beautifully and the scent does hold. Also, I do not like a strawberry scent nor does my sister and we both love this one. I think it's the musk.It will fade a bit after some time but it won't fade all the way and enough scent is left to be smelled. The strawberry FOs in the past that I soap all faded much more than this one. The other thing, for me, this scent is flying off my shelves regardless of the application. I made another batch of it and before it was on the shelf, almost all of it was sold. It was completely gone within 24 hours of putting it out. I sold out of it in body butter w/in 24 hrs too. Another suggested scent from SS that is wonderful in CP and soy is their Cashmere Sweater. If memory serves me right, it's a blend of cranberries and sandalwood. Another very sexy scent. It will turn your soap orange but the scent is strong and holds well. In soy, the scent (8%) was a good strong 8 out of 10 after a 24 hour cure. Meredith all beauties. I was dissapointed in the Berg Cam from MMS also. Nice work, they all look wonderful.Nice garden you have there also.It smelled so wonderful OOB that I couldn't wait to get it into soap. It sucks it did not hold. At first I thought I might be the GM that was over powering since I curdled it a bit and got a bit of the ammonia smell. But that cured out and still no FO scent. Did yours ever come back at all? At least my swirly hearts came out! lol Thanks everyone for the kind words. These aren't all I've made lately either. My sister came to visit and we were 2 wild and crazy soaping gals.
