  1. IMHO, 6006 is 80/20 Soy. The 4794 works well with the 6006, but 4794 requires a repour, so much over 10 or 15% 4794 will cave in the middle. 4794 is much harder than 6006 and will pull away from the sides and will rattle in a container. We use 70% 4794 and 30% 6006 for our clamshells and it works great. The shrinkage does not hurt the clam and it releases easily.
  2. The CSN's are made exclusively for Palm Wax. I have been pouring palm wax pillars for over 5 yrs, of course, mine are scented!! Why would you want to make an unscented palm pillar? I use CDs and Performas for all paraffin/soy candles and have been for 10 yrs. Why don't you get a little more expertise in your pocket before you talk about "seemingly all around wicks?"
  3. Yes, if wax is overwicked and gets too hot, it will catch fire and burn! I posted about this 5 yrs ago when a tin caught fire using CDs. I will NOT use a woodwick, very unpredictable. Carole
  4. Maybe the Nevitts sold AAA in the last 6 months, but I can tell you for a fact that at that time, they owned AAA. To my knowledge, they always have. We met Mr. Nevitt there and he talked to us about making some of our FOs. I have never heard of Airabella. We are going there in January so I can update here if there have been any changes. We buy FOs, glass and wax from them. Carole
  5. I do buy a lot of wax, jars from them, however, I find their FOs touch and go. I use their Creme Brulee and a few of Taylored scents. You almost need to go to their showroom & shop with your nose. Carole
  6. We have at least 3 turkey fryers in use at all times for melting wax, no problems with coils. We've had these going for over 5 yrs. We would NEVER try to add scent and color to the fryers. Just get a big 6# aluminum pour pot. We mix up 4# batches in glass coffee carafes. Works great. Carole
  7. All that is important in full melt pool is bottom 1/3 of tin. My guess is that the candle will catch up. Pls remember that a tin overwicked can catch fire! 6006 is a very good wax and has excellent hot throw. Add a little extra soy to slow it down. Bug
  8. I refuse to let wicks control the FOs I pour. Every 6 oz tin we make in 6006+ or 223+ uses either a CD 7 or 8 or a Performa 120 or 100 for heavy, spicey FOs. 4 wicks let me pour anything I want. We pour about 2000 to 5000 tins annually depending on how many FundRaisers we do. Bug
  9. They are COPY CATS!!!! Which I had patented my idea. lol I've been pouring those for years in palm. But mine are refillable. Those are Libby Cylinders. a little expensive! Carole
  10. I love Angel Wings and pour it every Christmas as "Angel Wings!!"
  11. Those WILL NOT WORK. They say oil-free which means you cannot melt oil in it. It has a hole in the bottom for juices to drain. Last Christmas, Academy carried the regular ones with the spigot. I would never add fo and color to my wax in a Masterbilt.
  12. I 2nd Peak's. Used BCS for yrs, but am switching to Peaks this year. Bug
  13. Good answer and correct! Just make sure you test a sample of the 25#er before you buy it. That's a lot of FO. Vanillas don't last as long as other FOs. Carole
  14. I love 223 + 30-35% soy. I use EZsoy but it shouldn't matter. Good combo! Carole
  15. I've used JS Dancing Water. It's not real strong in Palm candles but smells like B&BW. I like it better for sprays, lotion. WSP has it but it is very expensive?? Carole
  16. Gosh, looks like a scam. When something is too good to be true, it usually is false. Can't wait to hear.
  17. The fragrance mfg (Nevelle) that owns AAA has nothing to do with Robert and Kim @ Taylored. Robert @ TC was the Fragrance man. He formulated everything himself. Who did you talk to? Carole
  18. Their Website has just been redone. I think they will have scent descriptions soon.
  19. Where do you get 88 days? On their about page - 11 yrs. I knew it was a while ago
  20. AAA has been in the Garland area for a long time. We have been buying from them for 7 yrs. Their owner also owns a fragrance mfg co and he makes all the FOs. We haven't used too many of them but plan to use more. Carole
  21. I've ordered from them several times with quick and great service. Carole
  22. We were in DFW yesterday, Robert & Kimberly at Taylored are closing but are transferring most FOs to AAA Candle Supply. http://aaacandlesupply.com/ Robert Lopez @ AAA (owned by Nevitt) will be carrying most Taylored products. They have a great store and carry a lot of IGI waxes. Got a few samples of AAA fos and they are good oob. Will put them in wax and cp. Seems all that are left in DFW are AAA and Lone Star. We'll be ok. Carole Also found out that Agilex/IFT has been sold again. No details though.
