  1. RUN, BEARS, RUN!!!!!! Get away before somebody dips you!
  2. In Texas, I could just change my current Permit. There are no special rules, etc. Good luck on doing this with no capital. Even with $40,000, I think it would be hard to do. I buy tins, glass, wax by the pallet and FOs (many of them) in 25# buckets. Then what if nobody cared for the FOs I stocked, or the size tins, or the type of wicks and size I use. Not trying to discourage you, but there have been so many suppliers that have gone down the tube in not much time. Pls do some more research!!!!! Carole
  3. MWs Patchouli is fantastic. Here is some info on what is going on now. "The Ancient Incense and Patchouli Passion are back in stock! New prebuy will be posted tonight for Saffron & Spice and Merlin's Forest....plus FREE shipping!!! I'm also going to list a Lavender Sage fragrance oil that I've tested in soap and soy. A perfect balance of both fragrances that is pleasing to the nose. It's clean and refreshing. Don't forget about the Patchouli FO prebuy that's going on. I need to meet a minimum of 100# before placing the order and we're getting close!" I'm looking forward to the Raspberry Patchouli. That is one fantastic scent. Carole
  4. LS Pink is a very light scent. The Wm Van Sugar is very strong in my parasoy and palm. I don't care at all for MSummer Night. Strong! Most of LS FOs are excellent. Carole
  5. I use Columbus Unrefined Shea in my Body Frosting. It is not yellow and smells like shea btr should, mild, pleasant, slightly nutty. Carole
  6. I checked it out a few yrs ago, didn't find much publicity. ImHO, not worth the high price of ads. Carole
  7. A CD just will not stand up like a zinc. When the wax around it quits supporting it, it starts falling to one side. If I want a big, deep meltpool, I cannot use CDs. How tall is your jar? Carole
  8. It looks like a CD to me, but how would you ever know what size? Carole
  9. The silver poly will not run on my Lexmark laser but finally did run on my HP. They are nice labels but they scare me. The glossy silver run fine. Carole
  10. The polyester silver killed my laser! but the shiney silver worked ok. Don't buy too many until you've tried them in your printer. You're in trouble when they wrap around your fuser & melt!!!! Carole
  11. Straight paraffin is going to be VERY DIFFICULT to turn into a container blend even adding a lot of soy. Your 6006 had a lot of additives + soy. IMHO it will not be worth it. Carole
  12. 6006 will definitely catch fire if wicked too big! Carole
  13. Very sad! We buy our palm wax from them by the pallet. They also had some really good blends. (parasoys) Carole
  14. You had better soap it first and see what it smells like. That is one strong FO!!!! Smelled mine again today and it really clears the sinuses. Carole
  15. I definitely agree! All of their scents are really high-quality and are consistently available without worrying about changes. I have been using them for 8 1/2 yrs. Carole
  16. I know several folks were looking for a dupe for Vanilla Suede a few months ago. Did anyone ever find one or come up with one? (Vanilla, amber, sandalwood.) It's an interesting scent. Thks, Carole
  17. And that is exactly what I said! If a candle is wicked properly, it doesn't matter what kind of wick you've used. The CD you describe burns too hot - not wicked properly. The LX most likely did not burn hot enough - not wicked properly. My properly wicked candles give the best scent throw and yet they are a combination of CDs, Performas, Zincs, CSNs & RRDs. Carole
  18. I would always use CSN over CDN in my feathered palm because they burn better for me. Carole
  19. If a candle is wicked properly, I do not think the type of wick makes a difference in throw. IMHO Carole
  20. If they are 26 oz containers, you better buy you some soy. lol Carole
  21. Call AAA Candle Supplies in DFW. Talk to Robert. They had them a few months ago. Carole
  22. BCN carries the Performas. Usually a P90, 95 or 100 works fine when the 44-32 drowns out. Carole
