  1. Look at the tutorial http://www.plastictom.com/HowToUse.html These are totally different from reloading trays. If you just want something to hold the tubes, a rubber band around a handful works fine.
  2. "Hemp butter" is hydrogenated vegetable oil and hemp oil
  3. They will work just fine. Mark them with BIG red letters

  6. Correct, if your recipe calls for 6 oz lye and 12 oz water, you use 18 oz of the pre-mix Tip: When using cold lye solution most times you will get a false trace, keep mixing and as it heats up in will thin out and progress as usual. I also add my fo to the oils before the lye
  7. I use the rubber band to hold the tubes and the resteraunt style(with the long tip) ketchup bottles to fill
  8. I use a KA and the whisk is a must for butters. Regular beater is best for lotion. For lotions you need to use a SB for the first 5 minutes, the high shear mixing is critcal, then let the stand mixer do the work while your lotion cools.
  9. I was in a big hurry when I posted, sorry if it caused confusion. My cheese cutter cost less than $10. It has a marble base and you can glue small blocks of wood for guides. 1 to keep the log straight and 1 as a stop for for thickness
  10. I've been doing this for over a year now, wouldn't go back to the old way for love or money! My normal batch of soap is 3.5# oils, so I weigh out 35# into a 5 gallon stock pot, heat slowly until butters are melted, stick blend, weigh out 3.5# into plastic containers with lids. When I want to make soap I just grab a container off the shelf, microwave until melted. I also use pre-mixed lye. I make it up by the gallon. With this method I can make a batch of soap in 15 minute start to finish, including cleanup:D
  11. He should be able to. Lye is added to the drilling slurry in cold weather to prevent freezing
  12. I have both and prefer the oil type. I stick blend into the oils. The reason I prefer this type is that if after adding the lye and colors and the batch isn't as light as I want, it easy to add more TD
  13. :embarasse Your welcome. The amazing thing to me is it it soaks in quickly but still feels wet? My wife put some on my back, rubbed it in lightly, and asked how it felt? I told her it felt great, but she used to much! By the way her hands were gliding over my back I was certain I was an oily mess, wrong!!! It sells well to the tanning parlors:D It only seperates when cool

  15. you can mix 50/50 with fco and promote it as an aftersun spray. Works and feels great. Still has to be warm and shaken
  16. coconut: most likely 76 degree which is fine Olive oil: light color preferably Tip: Let the mixture set overnight before adding sugar
  17. A lot of suppliers can't even get to the orders for 24 hours or so
