  1. A few years ago I made a candle in BCS Citrus Splash and my friend went on and on about how it smelled exactly like Volcano (which I actually had never heard of and forgot all about until reading this very post). That is just a suggestion/alternative for the person above who didn't have luck with the Aztec dupe.
  2. For baking type of smell, I really like their Vanilla Velvet, Vanilla Nutbread, Almond Rum Cake, Amish Friendship Bread, Carrot Cake. I have also liked these: Candied Sugar Plum Honey Pear Cider Candy Cane Snowberry Christmas Cheer Without a doubt though - Spiced Cranberry
  3. Have you ever tried BCS Holiday Wassail? It's strong!!
  4. I am really disappointed that they ignored my emails on this topic. I am too busy during the work week at my day job to make phone calls so I figured I would hear back. I am not a Facebook member, but if that is the only way companies communicate now, then I guess I will have to join .
  5. Check and see if Community carries it. Alabaster's used to be wonderful and there is a possibility Community carries the same one.
  6. Didnt read every thing in the post yet - but 2 thumbs up for Frosty Windowpane!! A lime-ish scent with a nice fresh/flowery/spa-like kick.
  7. yep - I inquired on the specific scents I was interested in. I hate to be in a position of feeling like a pest, but I guess I will try again one day ...
  8. I also love their Nutmeg Ginger from the bottle and from the prepared candle but while lit - I was never successful! I was sad!!
  9. I searched already and I am sorry if it was already discussed - but was Hawaiian Sandalwood the only TW fo that RE decided to carry? I was really looking forward to the other scents, but I never saw that anything (besides HS) was added. I emailed RE about 3 times to ask but they never responded. Does anyone know if they will ever carry anything else from TW?
  10. OH great!! ICS it will be, then! Thank you. I really love her "Christmas Past". I actually have a 1 oz bottle of Peaks Cran-Citrus, SE. Thanks for the reminder... I did a qtip blend with some apple-ly oil earlier this year and should go back now to see what it smells like
  11. Hi. Do you have any preferences for a Cranberry Orange? I believe JS carries a Cran-Orange AND a Cran-Orange Spice. Is one better than the other? I think ICS carries one also. Is one company better than the other? (Parrafin wax is what I am using....) Thank you for any recs, advice and suggestions!
  12. I remember reading/seeing Apple Butter Clove from RE. But Apple-Clover sounds nice too!
  13. I'm so happy to come across this post! I will send them MW's Sweet Indian Corn as well as Sweet Fig. I used them in some blended scents I make (made). Does anyone know which of the Patchoulis is MW"s? Patchouli or the Passion one? .... Thanks
  14. Lorelei - if you normally get anything from Community, see if you can ask for a sample of the TD... I actually had correspondence with the new owner about it and she said it is the same FO as Alabaster. So... maybe it could be my nose but I am sniffing them side by side (holding onto the precious 1/2 oz left). Hmm maybe I will try the dupe service with SOS!! Faery - thanks for the BW rec -- I actually had tried them during the limbo of Alabaster closing and Community opening. BW wasn't the same either though :-). I will be so excited if the duping plan works!! Thank you
  15. Does anyone know of a supplier who sells a Tangerine Dreams that smells like the (now closed) Alabaster's fragrance? I just ordered the fragrance from Community who took over Alabaster but the TD is not the same. I am comparing the two now and the Community version I received today is nothing like it. I have previously purchased NG's version which is also different from the old Alabaster FO. If anyone is familiar with the Alabaster TD, would you happen to know who sells something that smells like it? thank you
  16. BCN Ginger Appletini is a nice tart/sweet green apple
  17. Home Sweet Home was good. Kudzu was good. I used to like their Key Lime Pie, but it was changed to a very sour lime with no crust. I asked them to remove my review (which I left when it was very good) but it is still up. You might just want to mix it with a crust to achieve a good KLP smell. I haven't bothered
  18. my problem is with them adding and discontinuing (the same scents). I feel safest with ordering their Mango Papaya which has been around for many years and good, if you haven't tried it.
  19. From JS - Country Christmas is good. It's like a cranberry apple blend. I think Coffee Cake works well too, but I ended up blending my own so I stopped buying it
  20. BCN has a lot that are very good, but for Holiday season, I would recommend Old Fashioned Christmas, Honey Pear Cider, and Spiced Cranberry
  21. Love Spell - hate it - reminds me of acidic throw up (ugh, sorry). Twilight Woods - it's boring and "meh". just smells like a light applish scent. More specifically, I don't know what the hooplah over MW's Sugar Cookie Royale is about. (boring to me - basic) And BCN Creme Brulee - rubber bands/plastic/weird.
  22. I'm not home, but I think I really liked their Coconut Lime
  23. you guys have me intrigued! In samples I have gotten through the past year of Satsuma, it struck me as just an orange scent (not much different than an orange scent I had settled on). might have to check back into it when I buy from AH this week
