  1. Henry, Is this the one you're talking about? I bought this at Bed Bath & Beyond about 6 months ago......
  2. FABULOUS!!! What a great idea - those look good enough to eat!!!!
  3. Welcome to the very addictive art of candlemaking!!!! Be warned that once you start - there will be no turning back, and your home will eventually be filled with candles, and paraphenalia related to candlemaking, and you won't want it any other way........
  4. It's Tucker's fault - now I can't seem to leave it aloon.....
  5. Okay, okay.... I'm going :tiptoe: Just please stop cracking that whip!!!! LOL
  6. "Looney" maybe - but not crazy JUST KIDDING!!!! I don't think it's crazy at all - if it works - do it!
  7. I saw the website a while ago, and I agree that it is okay if you are a beginner, and only want to make one type of candle. I can't see it working well for layers, or rustics, or any of the different techniques that us addicts like to do, and most of us are not making one candle at a time! But just to make ordinaly pillars it might be fine....
  8. Tucker - you really have to stop all that "looning"!!!!
  9. Ditto on that - the orange is great!! Wonderful for fall......
  10. You'e right - I was expecting baby pink or blue..... but this was a nice surprise! Unusual choice, but I think it works......
  11. Yeah - Good question!!! I had the same trouble getting my candle to get totally submerged in the boiling water - made a total mess trying to push it down with bbq tongs ... and then the crackle didn't even work for me. Any hints and tips would be appreciated......
  12. See what you Girls have done....... Everytime I come to this forum, I see some new technique and I just have to try. Heaven knows where I'm going to put all these candles....... I tried Peaks Frosted Carrot Cake FO, and I'm really happy with the way these turned out. I used 1274, 3tbsp Stearic, and 1oz FO pp.
  13. Beautiful as always - You are an inspiration to us all......
  14. These are the instructions I got in another post. Thanks to Donita: "Just wait until the wax is set up but not too hard. Take a spoon and push down the sides. Pour another layer and do the same. I sprayed my spoon with mold release so the wax doesn't stick to it. Different shaped spoons will create a different look...."
  15. You're right - this candlemaking thing has turned me into a looney Thank you - I'm off to try that method right now......:rolleyes2
  16. Wow - Excellent Tucker!!! Love the presentation.......
  17. Okay - those are fabulous! Now, how do you do it???? You know, no sooner have I got some technique down, and you ladies start up with something else...... I'm exhausted.... I have no more room to store these candles.... but I can't stop, have to make more......
