  1. Go to the pics section. Find a post by Donita. Click on her profile then search all posts by her. She'll blow your mind. Good luck
  2. awsome. great subject matter, you must be very proud, and so you should be. I don't make candles anymore but appreciate seeing some good work, and yours is GREAT for a first time.
  3. DAMN, I just quit makin candles and these came along. Sure would like to try them, they're gorgeous. Thanks for showing. (maybe one day)
  4. Way to go Top, I used to make candles you know (smile)
  5. Hey ya'll, thanks for all the ideas. My neighbor came over and suggested I use the little torch thing (you know the one where you screw the bottle onto the different tips) well sir (and ladies) I've got one here and it works great, same as a heat gun only it has a flame, it's gonna all come off with paper towels for sure. HEY SATIN, where ya been for the last few weeks, yep, I sold every thing, gonna sit back, do some fishin and take life easy, hell I got enough candles here to last me and momma the rest of our lives for sure, NICE TO SEE YOU BACK SATIN
  6. Hi gang. As you all know, I've sold all my stuff. Here's the kicker, My candle making efforts were done in the basement (on a painted cement floor) I have scraped all the lumps and bumps off the fl;oor but there is still wax residue on the floor. Paint will never stick to these areas. HOW DO I GET IT OFF????
  7. that chick is definitely stoned. Tell her to just smoke half a joint next time.
  8. Well gang, a lady just left my house with all of my stuff. I am no longer a candle maker, but ya'll ain't gonna get rid of me just yet, I'm gonna stick around and check on ya just like always. Thanks for all of the wonderful posts regarding my decision "it wasn't easy"
  9. BINGO on the brown ones. They even look good in Canada. eh!
  10. THIS IS THE ONLY THING I'M TRULY GOING TO MISS ABOUT MAKING CANDLES "all of my beautiful new found friends"Seriously, we've thought this out long and hard. Fact is, ain't gonna be makin candles all summer when there's so much fishin to be done, Hell the best fishin around is right in our back yard so that's a given. I do all my candle stuff in the basement and steps are just a pain in the ass (literally) so that is the big reason. And please don't forget, I am 75 years of age and am just gonna slow down a bit. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR WISHES AND THOUGHTS.
  11. Well gang, I'm afraid I got some not so good news today. I'm booked for a hip replacement in Sept. so I'm gonna give up on this great hobby.I know I shouldn't post here but if you check, I'll post on the classified section. It's been a great ride for sure, thanks to all that helped me along the way. I guess this old age is everything they told me it would be.
  12. As usual. they are excellent, "just like everything else you make". It's great to see such a creative Canuck, keep it up.
  13. FINALLY, someone else that has the gonads to make BLACK candles. I luv /em, hope they burn all right. I had a little difficulty making mine burn properly, let us know how ya make out.
  14. You done good stuff there lady, keep up the good work.
