  1. Develope a new line...These names may appeal to a different customer base. London Lemon Curd- Lemon snot Black Raspberry Vanilla- Chigger Bait Drakkar- Grease Monkey. Would make a great mechanics soap. As in: Damn Mabel! Drak Kar done broke down again! I have one for Brown Sugar & Fig but I would break TOS rules if I posted it. On a more serious note-- London Lemon Curd- Lemony Snickets ----children's B&B products?
  2. I'll give it a shot.... 1 - Lemon Custard, Lemon Whip, Lemon Fluff 2 - Figgy Pudding, Fig Preserves. Hasty Pudding.
  3. Thanks Christina, Wish you were still in the area & could join us. I love, love, love Sweet Tomatoes. It is all-you-can-eat but not 'slop the hogs' like some places are...LOL. Well, I'm off to meet PamRGA, Gaye & JaneL and some new faces for lunch. Hope everyone has a good day, Donna
  4. Have you tried Bayousome.com (Lawrenceville, GA)? They have some roller bottles under 'other bottles'. HTH.
  5. Georgia Chandlers--'Meet & Eat' on March 11, 2006. A small group of candlemakers will be meeting for lunch at 'Sweet Tomatoes' (6350 Peachtree-Dunwoody Rd.Atlanta, GA) at noon on Saturday, March 11. Everyone is welcome. Lunch is Dutch. Drop a line if you will be meeting us so we have an idea of what size table to snag. We trade ideas and show off new products. Thanks,Hope to see ya there. Donna Link with directions to the Dunwoody Sweet Tomatoes and menu selections. http://www.sweettomatoes.com/locations/restaurant.asp?store_id=61 Sweet Tomatoes is a busy buffet style restaurant (less buzy on the weekends) in a visible location. It is close to 400 and I-285. It is a couple of streets North of Perimeter Mall. Gaye and I initially picked this location because it seemed like a safe place for strangers to meet. Thank you to Alan, Nachelle & Sara for allowing me to post this announcement.
  6. I have the KD600 also. I bought mine from an OldWillKnot e-bay auction for $39.01 ($27.51+$11.50). Took me about two months of watching auctions because I refused to pay over $39.50 (with shipping). I have been very pleased with my scale. HTH.
  7. TCS (am surprised to be the first to mention Brent), KY, CC....
  8. Have you tried Carolina Candle Supply? (http://www.carolinacandlesupplies.com/jars-tins.asp) HTH.
  9. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11604&highlight=EZup I entered 'EZup' in search and got the above thread. Entered tent and got too many threads to wade thru with dial-up. LOL. added.... http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2556&highlight=outdoor+heat Got this thread using 'outdoor heat'. I really miss the keyword qualifier for searches. I know there are other threads about outdoor festivals & candles. Maybe on the old board? HTH.
  10. LOL! I feel your pain Bev. I'm in the same boat. Some mornings I have have over 15 phishing emails from PayPal and EBay (yeah, right). I don't even bother to send to 'spoof'. I just delete them. my 2¢
  11. Is it me? I don't see Steph's link in her post? TIA, Donna
  12. What did you expect when you posted about ANOTHER close call? Opinions or sympathy? If you want opinions, see below. If you want sympathy, find somebody else's shoulder to cry on. ********** I have had one close call with wax. The temp was turned up by my DD. I did not check thermostat because I had not changed it. After my close call, a few of the things I did... -bought a rechargable fire extinguisher; -turned my melters/warmers with the knobs to the rear...what a pain.... checking the thermostats is interesting. (gotta try those moves tonight with my DH. lol) -made makeshift corrals to put around the melters because the sides get really hot; -unplug items from the wall because thermostats can fail. -check temp dials before plugging melters in ....AND DO NOT MELT WAX IF MY DAUGHTER IS HOME. She is a great girl but wants to help mama. I will not risk any injury to her. POINT BEING--I took proactive measures and am using good sense to avoid injury to my family and myself. Accidents do happen but some accidents are preventable. THINK! Stop relying on pure dumb luck to prevent accidents! my 2¢, Donna
  13. I take this ring off with a hand held can opener that leave a smooth 'no cut' edge. My opener is from Pampered Chef but I have seen a cheaper version at BB&B. HTH. Donna
  14. Does anyone know what happened to all the Bob Sherman candlemaking projects on About.com? Are they located in another website? TIA, donna edited to add....nevermind, I found some of them on another supply website.

  19. Hi Kelley, There are no wax suppliers in NE Georgia. Here are some suppliers that are close. Tennessee Candle Supply in NE Tennessee. Candle Science in Durham (I think), NC. Carolina Candle Supply in Charlotte. Alabaster and Aztec have been mentioned. I'm in Rome. Where are you located in Atlanta? Golly we need to have another lunch... Donna edited to add....When ordering heavy supplies, wax & container, try in stay within your UPS/FedEx's shipping zone. Don't trust shipping calculators. Call the company and ask what exact shipping will cost. There are some FO companies in & around GA. HTH. dm
  20. Did you try a search on the old board? These threads are from the old board.... Heat Gun HOlsters-http://www.candletech.com/cgi-local/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Discussions;action=display;num=1080928512;start=4#4 Heat Gun Safety-http://www.candletech.com/cgi-local/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Discussions;action=display;num=1111425612;start=16#16 Pic of Ducky's Heatgun-http://www.candletech.com/cgi-local/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=gallery;action=display;num=1117804872;start=2#2 There are a ton more threads about 'heatguns' on the old board. I didn't try searching the current board. HTH. Donna
  21. Danielle, I found your January 2, 2006 12:00 PM post refreshing. In a hot topic tread, some people forget that opinions are opinions...not judgements about the person posting. Hope you find a source for 'mountain laurel' FO, Donna ps-one line fast replys always sound a bit terse....my 2¢.
  22. MargaritaMama, Did you check IGI's product info sheet for 1274? 1274 is a 'mottling' pillar wax. Holds a 6% FO load and needs no additives. HTH. Donna
