  1. I use Southern Vanilla from Ky in my soy wax and it is totally awesome. Vanilla and soy and be a tough combination but Vicki's got this one all figured out. Bobbie
  2. I use these colors. Oh my goodness, if you are looking for a black candle or dark red, these dyes are the way to go. The colors are so vivid and true. I didn't have to wick up and the scent was wonderful. Hopefully, Daphne will catch up soon because this is one fabulous product. I wish when I had ordered that I had ordered a much large size than just the 2 ounce sizes. Bobbie
  3. Gorgeous soap! I absolutely love the swirling you did!
  4. I ordered the Red, Blackm and some other Pryme Bold colors. I have used both. I got a beautiful black on the Midsummer Night I poured and an absolutely awesome red on the Apples & Berries. I didn't get any frosting on either of the colors and I poured mine over a month ago. I'm in love with Daphne's Pryme colors. I use KY Soy 125. I think you will b every pleased with these Pryme colors. Bobbie
  5. I got my beveler from www.sweetprairiesoap.com. I also bought several soap mold and have been very pleased with her products.
  6. That's the terminolgy I use. If the soap is made correctly the sodium hydroxide or lye should be totally expended when the soap cures in the 2 - 3 weeks.
  7. I haven't used Peaks, but I have used what used to be Scents for Soy. I had no problems and the scent held up very well while it was curing. Bobbie
  8. Wow! Brenda, these are awesome!!!
  9. I use the clear container. I had purchased the metal one and most people were not interested in this because they use these for accents. The clear sell well. I used to buy a 1,000 tealight containers for $55 from NG, but I think they must have stopped carrying the clear cups. I couldn't find these on their web site the other night. It was a great price.

  11. I just poured my first batch of CP soap yesterday also!. I can so relate to the fears. I have had all my oils and everything else for months. For some reason I was just so scared to jump into actually doing it. Well I will know about 3PM Eastern as that is when I uncover it. But, I know one problem already. I did line the wooden mold with freezer paper, but when I placed the wooden lid on the soap, I never thought to cover it with the freezer paper first! Darn, Darn, Darn!
  12. Okay this is all making sense now. I never got the Excel Spreadsheet showing the loads. Too funny! For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how I was supposed to even guess at how much color to start with.
  13. I've got mine from both Cajun and Ky Candle Supplies. Both were the wick pins that cover the entire bottom.
  14. Donna, I use 1.5 ounces of fo per pound. As far as color, I just eyeball it. I guess what I don't understand is how does one know he/she wants 1% color?
  15. All: I purchased these dyes and hate to sound so stupid. I can't figure out what Daphne is trying to tell me in that link for the calculator! If I have 5 pounds of wax and use 9% F0 and want a dark color, how much color should I use? Bobbie
