  1. I think the CofC show coordinators plan on going home at five.
  2. Sorry we were not helpful enough for you. Brought out my big spoon. 3.5 X 2.25 X 1.65=6.9 oz DH likes-TOOOOOOOO big for me. 2 7/8 X 2 1/8 X 1 1/4=4.4 oz Made using different recipes. Base your bar size on your mold to reduce waste. Crafty's 2.25" x 3.25" bar gives you 8 bars with no waste. This also means that you have no room for error when cutting. Most peeps on the board, even the 'helpful' members from a few years ago found 'trial and error' to be a great teacher. Really mucking up a recipe adds to your experience base. Ask me how I know. lol. What works for one person, may not work for someone else. donna
  3. I'll give you my 2¢, since nobody else has.... How did you choose 4-5 ounces for your bar size? What size is your mold? Mold size determines bar size if you want to minimize waste. Personal preference for size is another factor. Some people like big bars, some small. I don't like bars with a 'square' side, even as a sample. I find them hard to hold. Didn't help you much. Good luck, donna
  4. Liar. You have a great looking cherry chunk on the old board. I will try to find it.http://www.candletech.com/cgi-local/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=gallery;action=display;num=1072674797;start=4#4 My bad, they were pillars not the WM hearts
  5. What conditions does the mall show have?
  6. Welcome Back! I'm ready for lunch. Are you still working third shift? donna
  7. Welcome Peachtree. Are you from Atlanta?
  8. I totally agree with you. You should not have to recrimp all your wicks. What a royal PITA. Good luck, donna
  9. UNBELIEVABLE!!!..... A legitimate insurance agent would have immediately whipped out a business card. lol. I also think she is a scheming witch....unless she emailed you using an insurance company email addy. Did she? my2¢, donna edited to add--you do have to be licensed to sell insurance. Get her name and report her to the carrier she quoted. lol.
  10. Since mayo is a suspension of eggs and oil, aren't you just adding protein and superfatting? just wondering, donna
  11. What response did you get from TCS when you told them about your problem? donna
  12. Gotta ask, how do you mix color and FO into 8 pounds of wax in a Presto pot? 8 pounds of wax fills mine so full I am afraid I would slosh if I stirred. lol.
  13. Gravity, Have you tried making rat bait? I have considered a mix of wax, pnut butter & poison poured into clamshells. I don't want the mice gone, I want them dead.
  14. I'll grasp at straws while I'm here... Was the pillar put in a freezer? Some people think this practice increases burn time.
  15. Top, I was wondering if Ken had purchased candle pigments. Wish we could see the package. Ken, if there is an 800 number on package call them. I doubt the employees at HL have any idea how to use most of the HL products. my 2¢ & good luck, donna
  16. When I worked for a grocery store. We had to have a hard copy of the actual tax ID certificate of registration for our files. Ask the Department of Revenue in your state how to verify OOS tax id numbers. good luck, donna
  17. Oops, sorry missed reference to Funky Foam. CareBear it is stiff nonporous looking stuff. Kimberly posted pics of her mylar liner a while ago if you want to see pics. hth, donna edited because I can't read
  18. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?p=76202&highlight=Sinus+Candle#post76202 Found this in a search using 'sinus candle'. Try using 'cold candle' and also check the old board. Good luck, donna
