If the name hadn't turned me off, I think it is a product I may have tried. I do like that it can be stored easily, wax is nicely contained in a bottle to keep wax residue from getting on a person's hands for putting in the melter. I usually change melts by pouring the melted wax out, but know for my customers I want them to be able to also easily lift the cooled wax from the melter tray if they don't like to pour it out hot. However, the name turned me off too bad to begin with so I wouldn't buy it. I mean, how can you introduce this to your friends or family?....Here, come try my new squirty wax. That is just icky.

Thank you for sharing your blend and wicks. I did not get it poured today. Hoping for tomorrow. 80/20 is the same ratio I've been using with 4627. Just enough soy to opaque it up a little and tame the burn maybe a bit. Trying to get it wicked right is about driving me to drink. I'll try HTP wicks and Eco in your blend. Not fond of the flame on CDs but like HTPs a lot.

Oh my! A blend I have not tried Am messing with 4633 right now and can't find a wick that wants to play well with it. Ecos are doing OK but not quite what I want. HT is really good but am also using a FO to test that I think would throw in anything. Happy you found a good blend....and you know I'm going to be copying it as soon as I can get up to Presto.

Yep! I'm loyal to suppliers if they have good products but treating customers with respect trumps any product or supplier.

It would. Not only would it cover hands, arms, legs and feet, but probably would give more than one application which is what us women (ok..myself) like from a lotion to make sure it does what we are looking for.HTH and GL with making your decision. I love the foil packet concept for giving out samples. It looks very professional. ETA: If this helps, and you know what a bottle of foundation liquid makeup looks like - size wise ; Consider this: Those bottles are usually 1 ounce of product. They are used to put a thin layer on just the face, forehead and neck. Taking that same amount in a lotion, we don't put it on in a very thin layer and we use it on a whole lot more area than the small area foundation is used for.

I don't have any experience giving samples away to customers for conversation to sales but am posting to tell you what I, as a consumer, feel when I receive samples. Most of my samples are from places like Sephora, Estee Lauder, etc., where they will give very small samples. I don't even know how much are in these little packets. I've received lotion, serums and other products. 9 out of 10 times, I will not go back to purchase the item because they did not give me enough product to figure out if I like it or not. Lotion in a small packet barely gives 1x use with rarely enough to do arms, legs, and feet. Serums get maybe 1x use and that doesn't tell me much either. Not sure if that is the answer you were looking for but hope it may help some.

Dave I don't remember seeing a thread (recently) about a supplier where liable could come into play. Correct me if I'm not remembering correctly but believe everything was either by action or words of supplier that caused a little issue. Sorry for hijack JBN I think big manufacturers follow trends just as us home chandlers do, to a degree. What is really hot right now are melts but melts in loaf style, scoop style, etc. I live under a rock but when I do go out, haven't seen those type products at the mass merchants.

I think you might like the blend since you've already thought about using it. For tarts, scent detection is so subjective but there have been some good combos listed in the thread.

I'm playing around with a container blend of 4627/415 now. IMO, it makes a nice candle with good HT as long as I keep the 415 @ 25% or below.

Even though DH is retired from UPS, I prefer FedEx too and so does he. We do a lot on eBay both selling and buying. I've had a seller or two do the printing postage thing and not send the item for days and days. It shows an expected delivery date but does't show up until a week later. However, have also had good ole' USPS lose packages too. Have even had them deliver one or two to a neighbor.

Advice? Just buy a pound or two right away rather than messing with smaller bottles.

Actually, not really. If it is printed off a person's own computer, at UPS online, that tracking number is then recorded and spoken for. It is then up to the person shipping the item to get it packaged up and ready for UPS to pick up, or the shipper to take to UPS, a UPS drop box or authorized UPS shipping facility. It could be in transit, lost or sitting in a warehouse unpackaged.

Of course! What was I thinking ETA: Now I'm over-thinking...Oh boy! Anywho, to be on the safe side the first time you bend one, maybe you'd want to put the pliers just above the weld, where the pin meets the base.

Just pull the wick and stick a new one in, after you cut the tab off the new one. It will give you a pretty good idea if you are in the ballpark. When you get close, then do a full test with a secured wick. ETA: If you use a pliers, the wick (in the wax now) should pull out of the tab rather easily. You will have the tab and neck at the bottom but will still get a good idea if the next wick is going to work.

Somehow, I bend mine all the time. Take a needle nose pliers, place it at the bottom of the pin (where it attaches to the base), and just pull it a little the way you need it to go. I haven't broken any yet...knock on wood.

For sure, it isn't your wax blend or FO %. Usually bakery scents do extra good. Well, hope it is only a case of candle nose. Keep us informed, if you would like. Inquisitive that we are!
