  1. Just got here. Will check it out now.
  2. That would be Warm Apple Pie (I think). They say the mind goes first.
  3. I did not put them in a warmer. Just put them in a bowl. I remember when I first read about them, I had doubts too. There was scent there, just not enough to fill a room, so they did soak the FO into the pastilles, but it did take several days for them to do that. I'm not sure if I would go out and buy them to do it, but if I had some on hand, I'd try it again. HTH and GL. Let us know if they work out for you.
  4. If they are made from EL soy, I did try it a couple years ago. The scent took pretty good but I had trouble getting them colored anymore than very pastel. Had them in a bowl to see if they scented the room, but they only scented directly around the area the bowl was. It could have been something I did wrong where they needed more FO or something. I do remember putting them in a plastic bag and having to smoosh the dye, FO and soy bead mixture around a couple times a day until they absorbed most of it. I think they soaked for maybe 3-5 days before I took them out, if I'm remembering right.
  5. I don't know what it is supposed to smell like. I do have AH/RE here and didn't get a sweet corn/pudding out of it. Might have been my nose.
  6. This one is half off. Thinking about trying it for the holidays at that price: SUNNY EVERGREEN Fragrance Oil - 1 LB - LTD QTY - no usps $15.95 $8.95 SALE PRICE: JUST SCENT SUNNY EVERGREEN Fragrance Oil - An evergreen with a twist - rich evergreen spruce mixed with tangerine and grapefruit notes. 145 Degree FP - No USPS International Shipping
  7. Thank you very much! Now I'll order a little larger size than I was going to originally get just to test. I'm hearing so many people rave about these ice cream/breads in melts and it seems JS just may be the place some vendors are getting the FO.
  8. I had to sign in to see it. Then clicked on sale info and they came up.Correction: Sale Items
  9. I think it is because of so much air flow coming into the jar we have problems with them....maybe. I'm not really sure but I do find in the country comfort or apothecary, they are much easier to wick plus have much better HT....IMO. I had concerns about the DT jars but don't anymore after testing where I couldn't begin to count the number of times the same jar is used over and over again. Great holiday weekend to you and your family too!
  10. Oh Dave...someone who has also used the Prestige jars has posted. Have you, by chance, tried Dollar Tree Status as well? Reason I am asking is I have found the Prestige jars heat up much more than the DT Status. Threw my wicking all off. I'm not saying they are a bad jar by any means, 'cause I don't think they are. They are nice and heavy, seem to be very good quality but is like I have to start over wicking the same jar.
  11. Good to know! I am going to be placing an order with JS at some point in the near future. I've read too many good reviews to not. Want to try some of her ice cream or bread FOs. You know, the sweet ones....lol.
  12. Well, JaJC...I'm looking for what sounds to be exactly what you are. If I find it, I'll be sure to let you know. I want blackberry pie or blackberry sundae...anything with a sweet or bakery note to it. How rude of me....Forgot to thank you for giving us a review....So, thank you!
  13. I worked with it for about a year along with 444. Used Eco wicks. I've seen in posts where you say you get your FOs. There was one from there I liked a lot but will use other suppliers instead. There are some good ones that are going to be keepers for me. If I do give it a try again, I'll test with those. Do have some 464 and 444 left here from a recent wax buying spree. Never know what I may decide to play with next on any given day.
  14. Hmmm...I would think 464 would be less prone to frosting due to the additives. I did use it at one time along with 444 but opted to go with 415 for better HT.
  15. This reminds me of why I've always thought if I'm going to purchase any B&B products, it will be from someone on this forum. I just don't trust just any person from Etsy or a random website of homemade products.
  16. Ya, I really don't know but thought the same as Chandler did. What is wrong with the jar? lol Prior to that, I didn't know they were different either. I can tell you Peak Prestige (that are like Status) and DT Status do have solid glass on that bottom ledge of the jar, and the wax does not go in there. Sure, play around with your pour temps to see if that helps. Pour temp can make a huge difference in how candles turn out, just not sure if that is what is going on by you or if it is the jar. I've done heat gunning on the jar sides, using 415 soy, without any frosting issues but can't help with 464. I have the gun about 4"-6" away from the jar and keep it moving. HTH and GL.
  17. Hi Louanne and welcome to the addiction Your candle looks great. I took a double take on your jar though 'cause all the Status/Prestige I've bought also have a solid bottom. It brings to light something for those of us who use that type jar to be careful of if purchasing from a different supplier.
  18. Me too! Want to make them multiple, complimenting scents but also cannot find any info on how to make them. I'm not exactly leaning toward tarts for the scoopable but a larger amount that would be put in a small container. Maybe a 3-5 oz souffle cup or something along those lines.
  19. ewwww....I did not read any of that 'cause we've used them for such a long time. Dang it!! Am going to have to keep them for eBay and personal payments to classies, etc., but will def. look for another option for everything else. ETA: Just thinking about this a little more....So then, PayPal is telling us we cannot use our own credit cards or debit cards on file with PayPal to purchase any of those type items, when our bank lets us purchase whatever we choose with our money.
  20. I needed to make a new account for eBay and PayPal, so went ahead and did the initial stuff on home computer just now. On PayPal, I made a business account as an individual and got through without a SS or tax ID. I do think somewhere along the line PayPal is going to want it cause of the new 1099 thing. eBay just let me go right through. ETA: Forgot to mention...Our other PayPal account had to have our SS cause we received one of those dandy 1099s last year.
  21. I'd forgotten all about this as I've got my hands full making my own products, but gel could be an option, I guess. Only thing is gel solidifies too.
  22. Yep, you got it right. 50% 4625 and 50% 4630. I think you will be very pleased with the results.
  23. Hope she sells batches quick before the veggie oil goes rancid. Now I've really got an ick factor going on.........
  24. The wax residue may release by putting in refrig or freezer for a little bit. As the others have mentioned, you need a tart or pillar wax to go with either the 4630 or 4627. 4794 or 4625 are two popular ones. 50/50 is a ratio you may like. It is one that many of us do use and works out fine in souffle cups, clamshells or tart molds. HTH and GL
