  1. Pillars and votives, I believe. That one would have to be mixed with a container wax, I'm thinking or it won't melt...as you mentioned. MP is 141. MP on 129 is 131 so it might need a container wax and do have one poured. I will post how it does against the others. Am using CC Fallen Leaf.
  2. LOL I haven't tried her melts. Actually, I haven't tried any melts except the one Scentsy bar I just bought from eBay. I just have to say Scentsy has nothing on us home chandlers. It had a max HT of 6-8 hrs. We forgot to document the time it lost all HT. ALL HT was gone by that time....not even anything left lingering inside the bathroom where it was tested. Possibly PA is a hint that CW is involved. The CBL129 is melting as I type. Next up CBL 141.
  3. As frustrating as this has been with all the testing, not to mention my back is complaining constantly, I have to chuckle at this thread. So many of us had to try it which would normally lead us to a majority with results leaning one way. Not so with this wax! We have slabs, pellets, pastilles, teardrops, bad results, good results and so-so results.
  4. I also have CBL 129 and 141 sitting here that I didn't get to because my old one turned out to be good again. Now, I think I should try them too. Does it ever end? lol I'm not worried about CW because they have been in business so long, are generational (I believe) and as long as I've been playing with their blends (except the one), they have been consistent. I'm working now between CBL125, 4630 and 4627/415. I keep going back to CBL125. Can't say yet whether or not it will be the end result one but it's back here again. There is some substantial info worth looking into (imo) on whether or not CBL125 is actually IGI4630. Today I'm doing side-by-sides with them to try and see what my eyes and nose tell me.
  5. lol...We had to try it Ravens or would of wondered forever. Firestarters would be good. I'll use it up for testing new FOs and home use. The pellets/pastilles (still don't know what to call them) were not horrible imo....the other was just better.
  6. Vanilla Bean Nectarine....... and be prepared to seriously air out room. ETA: That didn't come out right. Air out room after pouring not in warmer. It is very strong.
  7. Was going to PM you but see you can't receive them yet Have you considered trying 4625 with a container wax? Or maybe 4794?
  8. Reading the resuts that are coming in now, there doesn't seem to be a consistent with any of them, maybe? There were two of us on the page before this where one had pellets and I had pastilles/teardrops and our reports were quite different.
  9. I feel ya Pita. I have about 8 left sitting here that will collect dust until I feel like using it to make some for home use. There still seems to be a difference in how the wax acts whether it's slab or pellet judging from the newer posts on it. I'm sorry but TCS needs to get their act together and carry one wax, ground up or in slab rather than both and stay with it. We went through this with their container wax about a year ago when they switched blends.
  10. I have a top two that I seem to end up with the most keeper FOs and third is a tie between several. Still haven't tried DS, Community and a few more where it could change. As of now they are: CC Peak CS, AH/RE, MW....
  11. I'm not going to be using it, not because it wasn't a decent wax. All my testing was done using a large Scentsy warmer. Each container wax was used in 4625 and TCS at 50%, the same FO at the same percentage. Depending on the container wax in the blend, TCS did a bit better with longevity on most, except one and HT they were close, except one. My old tart blend with 4625 came out the clear winner in HT and longevity. Just got done doing the same melt making sure I could duplicate (made two in each batch) and got another hour out of it with a bit more cure time putting this one at 22 hours. It still had some HT but I had to be inside the room to detect it. It took 13 combinations to come to a final conclusion. Ended up right back where I was two years ago, but all in all I'm glad I did it or I'd keep wondering if I had the best I personally could do or not. Now to get the container blend to a final one....Getting close though! ETA: The TCS wax I had was the pastille/teardrop type JaJC described.
  12. If you wanted to buy a candle at WW, not that any of us would, Paula Dean is made in the US so you're safe with that one. I don't know about the others but would think by the quality they are not made here. Might have to try one of those Febreeze ones next time I stop at WW to check out the possible competition in containers. Dont care so much about their melts because I know us chandlers on here make better ones. I'm pretty darn sure our containers burn better and have better HT too...but still probably will check them out.
  13. Sounds good. I don't mind putting extra FO in if the wax performs good with wicking and HT. At this point, whatever it takes I am having pleasant results with 4627/415 at 10 % and 15%. HT doesn't seem to take a hit at all. IMO, it tames the burn and opaques the wax....both of which are kinda important for the characteristics I'm looking for. This will now be the 4th time testing that blend when I do light these up. Just finished burning a set with 6% Peak WMH. They did really good using Eco wicks. If you try, let me know whatcha think
  14. Hey HS ~ Glad you posted these finding this morning. Am just waiting for caffeine to kick in and then am planning on making another round of tarts. I do have some 6006 left from the samples I picked up at Peak so I'll give them a try today too. I have a TCS tart I'm looking at. To me also, it does not quite look like a pure paraffin since the others I've poured (without container wax) have semi-translucent fluted edges. This one is still quite opaque in that area. I have a Clarus 3022 beside it and the Clarus is more opaque/creamy appearing and heavier. Guess we may never know what that mysterious wax has in it....unless it is the Accu-blend. I've been blending up just about everything over here for containers, as well as waxes on their own and have been able to weed quite a few waxes out for containers. 4627/415 is still on the short list. 6006 is not but will be interested how it does for tarts.
  15. No worries. We switch subjects within threads (which I think is part of the fun of this forum) and I could of easily scrolled back. When JaJC reported the seller told her the eBay wax was a high percentage of soy, I could then walk away without having to buy another wax to try. Soy is fine....I just don't want to wait for the cure. I found the strangest thing....6006 on its own had better HT to my nose than the blends of 6006 with a paraffin known to have great HT added in such as 4627 and 4630. I'm beginning to think the additives in the waxes when combined in some blends may be too much causing the FO to be held up inside the wax.
  16. Marcuset.....are you comparing these to TCS wax? See, I have no idea what it's like in slab form to be able to see the texture of the wax, etc., because mine came in pastilles/pellets. With the ratio....do you think there is some soy in it? I know we discussed this either earlier on this thread or another one but my concern is maybe I should be curing them longer.
  17. I'm only repeating because it's so important not to judge any FO OOB. Some don't change when put in wax yet at the same time others change a lot. This is basically on all FOs, I've found whether it be CS, Peak or CC. I also agree with Chandler up there on Fallen Leaves. It is my favorite. Could burn that one every day....while I bathe in Sultry Angel. HTH
  18. Ooey Gooey Caramel Goodness to me is straight up strong caramel. OOB is does have a burnt type note to it. I want to say a little nutmeg maybe. I don't get the burned smell in wax but I do get a very strong caramel. This one I don't like on its own but that is very subjective. On the Vanilla, I smell buttercream maybe like I'm making very rich frosting with pure vanilla. That's it pure vanilla out of the brown bottle with butter and a touch of sugar OOB. In wax it smells pretty much the same. I can send you a caramel sample now if you like, with a Vanilla sample when I restock. HTH
  19. Ditto!I also like to use it as a tester for new wax blends to test for HT. That stuff throws like crazy. Reminds me of Beechnut gum. On 2nd thought....maybe Juicy Fruit with cinnamon or clove.
  20. lol...I thought it was really good. I also had light HT with Pumpkin Coffee but I like coffee scents nice and strong. This one was possibly not meant to be that way. Orange Tea & Crumpets is a favorite of mine. I don't get fuel smell but a bakery/tea spiced scent. Sultry Angel I could bathe in. ETA: Vanilla Voodoo is a staple here. I'm just about out right now so I'd better get on that. Mixed with Ooey Gooey Caramel going like 2:1 on VV is like a Caramel Smoothie. Son gave a double thumbs up on that blend.
  21. Once I tried the flutter dyes, I was hooked too. The only time I use diamond chips is if I need a color not available in flutter dyes.
  22. The prices you gals are finding is much more affordable than what I originally looked at. Now I am back to highly considering them if I can find them locally.
  23. Did you check the website? I can't find them.
