  1. Thanks everyone for the advice. Just to be clear it's a straight sided jar and does not taper but great advice for anyone looking at this thread and using a tapered jar.
  2. No it does not taper. It's a straight sided jar. Thank you for your input.
  3. Thank you! I'll keep testing and see how it goes. I finished my test today and still didn't get a full melt pool. Hoping next test it will.
  4. I'm having a bit of trouble single wicking this jar. It's an 11oz Libby straight sided tumbler jar with a diameter of 3.125in. Im use 464 wax and a CD16 wick. I was using a CD14 and always had quite a bit of residue on one side of the jar. This is the 3rd burn and I can't seem to get it clean on the sides. Should I keep going and eventually it will catch up or do I need to wick up? Thanks for any help or advice. I've posted pics below. PS- This test has been going since 10:17am and its 12:35pm now.
  5. If your using soy then beware. This scent is amazing but sadly did not throw for me at all. Good luck to you.
  6. Hi Candybee- Yea it is free and I have looked into it. It's a no frills website with basic pics and descriptions. If that is all you need it's a great alternative to the more complex ecommerce carts out there.
  7. Unfortunately I only make candles now. I have actually got a great Tobacco scent finally so all is good.
  8. @Crafters_playhouse Thank you. I don't understand why Lonestar does not tell their customers to include this same type of info?
  9. What "mumbo jumbo" do you have to write? Where must this bit of info be displayed?
  10. So I don't understand. I cannot sell candles made with woodwicks? I see that Lonestar sells woodwicks. Also there are a few candle companies that are small handmade that use woodwicks. How are they doing it if it's illegal?
  11. I wish Caribbean teakwood worked fine me. But not in my soy. I know some have had luck but not me. So sad.
  12. Found this thread and wanted to know if anyone had tried Candle Wic' Vetiver FO? How was it in soy wax? Also found a recommendation for Organic FO. They have a Vetiver that is oil soluble. Is that what I would use for wax? Thanks for any help.
  13. Oh no, the day after Christmas. Christmas with the family first. Hope you have a Merry Christmas too Candybee!
  14. Thank you Trappeur! No new videos right now. I need to do some fragrance reviews one day soon. Merry Christmas to you as well!
  15. Thank you everyone! Now for a 2 week break in Ft. Lauderdale.
  16. I just wanted to let you all know that my candle company was featured in the Atlanta Journal & Constitution this past Sunday for their annual Southern Made Gift Guide. We were thrilled to be approached at one of our shows this season. This was along with 2 other artisans. We didn't know if it was a sure thing at first but now that's it's published I wanted to share with you all. I hope that is okay and I don't seem to stuck up, I'm just super excited! We did get a ton of traffic to our website and many orders so that was wonderful. Here's the link to the article if anyone is interested in checking it out. I hope everyone has had a good season and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all! http://www.myajc.com/news/lifestyles/holiday/southern-made-last-minute-gift-ideas/npfLp/
  17. So just an opinion from testing I recently did with Home for the Holidays from Peak. First off. Love love love this scent! Smells exactly what the holidays smell in my head. However, it did not give me a good HT in my 464 soy at all. So very disappointed.

  19. I have a show this weekend. It's the start of my holiday shows and my 3rd year at this particular one. We always do great! (Fingers crossed) I also went to scout out a show this past weekend that we this one will be a perfect addition for us next year. Will come back and update on Sunday!
  20. I have to say that Peaks is stronger for me in soy. I tried CS and it took quite awhile to get a medium HT in the bedroom. While I don't smell the apple part in Peaks it throws for me and I like the scent so that's what I use.
  21. Our booth display this past weekend Oct 2015

I wasnt able to do a video this show as we literaly couldn't sit down we were so busy. Which is great! I do have a pic and I'll post that in a bit.
  23. Candybee- did you have the opportunity to smell the 2 new FO Cranberry Oak & Vanilla Chai?
  24. Thank you Daiseymay! Your so sweet to say that. :-)
  25. Thank you pcbrook! Oh my! I cannot fathom snow! Wow! Well I'm glad you had a good show and next time you'll know how much to bring. I love knowing what sales I did the previous year at a certain show. That way you bring exactly what you need and not a bunch of extras.
