  1. I was just informed of this very thing earlier today. I was able to find a brand new Masterbuilt Turk & Surf turkey fryer (with spigot) identical to the one in the picture that Karen posted above, from Craigslist for $60.00. I am excited to give it a try this weekend.
  2. Darn, they are currently out of stock of the Ginger & Nutmeg. Anyone know about how often they restock?
  3. The only thing I can think of aside from lowering the wattage of your warmer (as the higher wattage bulbs will burn the scent off quicker) is to try adding your FO at a higher temp, closer to 185.
  4. Lets call if a group effort by many members. I certainly didnt do the bulk of the work either. I took a huge list that someone else had worked on and simply updated it with additional posts so I can not take the credit either. Is this the type of post that should be a sticky? It tends to get buried in the fragrance section and forgotten. It sure is nice to be able to look up a much needed FO to see if it can be found elsewhere, and it also helps to prevent us from buying a sample of something that we may already have by another supplier.
  5. I think you will be pleased with the 4625/4630 blend.
  6. I didn't mind at all. I know the list has certainly prevented me from ordering samples unnecessarily and hopefully it helps others. I probably should take a look at the list again and see if I have any more to add. Hopefully others will have more to add as well. Dessa
  7. Candybee, I remember seeing pumpkin apple BBW type on another supplier's website. I think it was Fragrance Buddy.
  8. Moonshine, thanks for the kind words and I am glad you liked it. I might be pulling that one out again soon. I will also become mad scientist this weekend since I plan to work on some more blends for fall. Fun stuff!
  9. The 4625 & 4630 are both paraffin. The 4625 is a pillar wax whereas the 4630 is a container wax and therefore much softer. As far as the percentage, that is all personal preference. I have seen anywhere from an 80/20 to a 50/50 split, some prefer more pillar whereas others prefer more container. It all depends on what works best for you. Increasing the percentage of the pillar wax will help the wax to pop out of the mold/clam easier while Increasing the container wax will allow for a higher percentage of FO because the 4630 will hold more before seepage occurs. As far as the percentage of FO, in my opinion that depends on preference, how strong you like your tarts and how strong the FO itself is. Some believe that using anymore than 6% is a waste, while others (me included) will use more. I have used anywhere from 6-10% and other than a few FO's, have not had seepage. I like my tarts strong!
  10. I have made something similar with the Hayride & Autumn Leaves, but I added a bit of campfire smoke, mandarin orange & cinnamon and called it Haunted Hayride. It was very nice.
  11. Another Mistletoe (CS) fan here!!!! I also love Cinnamon & Bayberry, while not a pine scent, it is a great Christmas scent!
  12. Some of my favorite pumpkin blends: The Great Pumpkin - Candlesource Pumpkin Pie Spice (KY) - closest I have come to finding Yank's Spiced Pumpkin Apple Pie + Pumpkin Ginger Streusel Pumpkin Souffle + Pumpkin Creme Brulee Pumpkin harvest Chai (CW) Pumpkin Spiced Latte (ICS) Pumpkin + Maple Syrup
  13. Belinda, I thought you might like that one. We have very similar taste in scents and that is one of the pumpkin scents that I really like!
  14. I blend my own Orange Pomander using Red Clove (Peaks) and Mandarin Spice - KY (AH/RE) and it is wonderful.
  15. The Apple Butter Clove from AH/RE smells very nice. If you ever smelled Cider Snap that was discontinued a while back (I think it was maybe from Elements), it smells very much like that.
  16. All this talk of fall scents and gingerbread and I was inspired to pull out my wax. I just made 6 small batches of tarts: Gingerbread House (blend mentioned above) Buttery Pumpkin (a blend of Great Pumpkin and a non spicy buttery pumpkin type) Pumpkin Maple (Great Pumpkin & Vermont Maple Syrup) Holidazzle - I call it Smoky Mountain Berries Pumpkin Ginger Streusel Caramel Apple Latte - Caramel Apple Pie blended with Brewed Coffee
  17. You are welcome. Actually I need to amend my blend. I checked my notes and I use 50/50 of the 2 scents, not 2/3 & 1/3. I believe I included Gingerbread House in last years fall/holiday tart swap so if anyone still has any leftovers, a sample of it might be in your stash.
  18. I sure will. Just PM your address and I will send it out on Monday! Thanks,
  19. The straight Gingerbread from CS is really good but in my opinion it is the Gingerbread Spice from MMS that makes it so unique and yummy. I would be happy to send you a sniffie if you would like.
  20. I blend my own Gingerbread and I personally love it. It is 2/3 Gingerbread Spice from MMS and 1/3 Gingerbread from CS and it makes an awesome and very unique Gingerbread. I was trying to find a dupe to Gold Canyon's Gingerbread House and knew I had come across the right FO when I tried Gingerbread Spice from MMS about 4 years ago. I decided to blend it with some of the CS Gingerbread to give it just a bit more depth and it is lovely, IMO.
  21. I discovered the Iced Cranberry from Only Fragrance in a swap but it wasnt until after they had closed down so I didnt get to order any for myself. I havent smelled it in years, but my recollection is that the Iced Cranberry from BBW is very tart whereas the Iced Cranberry from OF is a very very sweet cranberry. The Sugared Cranberry from Candle Source is very sweet as well and really close. It is still missing something but it is close enough that I can live with it.
  22. I love bayberry as well. The Holidazzle is very unique and so nice. I was really hesitant to order from Candle Source initially because they are so inexpensive, and you usually get what you pay for but most of their oils are really good quality, very good throwers, and the shipping is very reasonable and quick.
  23. I am not sure how to describe holidazzle myself, but it smells like Christmas and it is very rustic. Here is the actual description:an uplifting combination of cranberry juice, bayberry, fir needles, clove & vanilla an uplifting combination of cranberry juice, bayberry, fir needles, clove & vanilla Can not believe I forgot to list one of my Fall Favorites in my list above, which is Gingerbread House (my own blend of 2 gingerbread's) an uplifting combination of cranberry juice, bayberry, fir needles, clove & vanilla an uplifting combination of cranberry juice, bayberry, fir needles, clove & vanilla an uplifting combination of cranberry juice, bayberry, fir needles, clove & vanillaan uplifting combination of cranberry juice, bayberry, fir needles, clove & vanilla
  24. I havent tried the FB version myself, but if I remember correctly it was listed as a BBW dupe, which I know is not like the Iced Cranberry that Only Fragrance used to carry. The closest I have found to a dupe for the Only Fragrance version is Sugared Cranberry from The Candle Source. It is not an exact dupe, but very very close. HTH...
