  1. According to the company, you can use replacement bulbs from anywhere, but, the bulbs may not be as strong because the light is not centered on the bulb, like theirs are. I find their warmers to be a lot fancier than other companies...
  2. Each of my pour pots are designated for a particular wax type. Depending on what I am making, I heat the entire pot so it is all liquid and replace wax as I go. Usually I immediately replace whatever wax I use. I noticed on one of my pots (this one does not have a spigot) that wax is leaking through slowwwwly where the handles are attached... also seems to be leaking through to where the cord connects!! Anyone had this happen? Is this particular pot a gonner?!?!
  3. Glue dots/basically sticking product to the basket/shred so it does not shift around.
  4. We have also toyed with this idea... but it takes up more space, either on the table to draw attention, or behind the table to set it up. Also, it would take up some time to do that, even if your supplies are all ready. However, it is something we always talk about doing, especially during the holiday time. We were looking into, like, p[ick your scent for a large candle, pick your scents for clamshells/tarts, and pick your style of melter, then we glue dot it up, cellophane it up and stick a bow on it! Would love to hear from anyone who does this successfully.
  5. Agree, setting it up is not that hard. I am 4'10" so it is a little difficult for me on my own, but I have seen many people do it on their own. I use my tent much more than I thought I would. You can get a really really decent one for about $100...
  6. These are called "Nigerian Scams"...
  7. Are you sure it is just that you are used to the smell? Has anyone said that it dies down after 2 hours?
  8. Contact the state the show is in to get information on collecting sales tax, if any. Then contact your own state and ask how you handle reporting your sales as your taxable income. Generally you would not pay tax that you collected in another state, to your home state. HTH
  9. Candy, I may also be contacting her, mentioning your name. Thanks for the referral.
  10. According to the candlemakersstore, they do manufacture their own oils. Why would you say they only resell?
  11. I used untabbed wicks to paint the color on the glass, and through the wax.It came out looking like leaf imprints... very pretty, but not what I was looking for!
  12. According to their website, they do not sell businesses that sell from home, online, or do not have a B&M store...
  13. Last night I poured some dreamsicle and tried to "marble" it! HAHA! This morning I wake up the color completely mixed on some, and others have spots-although they are cute) of dye! Has anyone successfully done this? Using 4630. Used wicks dipped in dye and gently deposited color... Not what I had hoped for...:rolleyes2
  14. I have used their containers and FO- but I do not use soy. Love their bamboo and monkey farts!
  15. Anytime I see Scentsy reps at shows, it seems that they are not very outspoken... They sit in their chairs with their heads down... they seemingly do not really talk to anyone.
  16. We use wick stickers on all of our jars! Glue gun takes too long, is too messy and is not as strong as the wick stickers IMO
  17. I know the feeling... one booth at a show had NO warning labels on anything, and absolutely no labels with name, address, weight... Just a label made on a label machine with the scent! How is it these people are allowed to sell?!?
  18. Which ones from eclamshell? I generally prefer the smaller clamshells...
  19. We used to heat our jars, but stopped. IMO, the wet spots occur normally, they are also due to weather/temp changes. I have never had a customer ask about them, but really, wax expands and contracts...
  20. Maybe I will try airing them out prior to pouring... also, it is only on some specific scents... May have to investigate this... THanks.
  21. We also use the bowtie wick holders. They have 3 holes- for either single, or double wicking. They have little slot to pull the wick tightly though. I think we got ours from candlemakersstore...
  22. Not quite puke, but gross. It is such a great seller, otherwise, I would kick it to the curb... I HATE LOVE SPELL
  23. Any problems with some clamshells smelling kind of skunky? I feel like a batch of clamshells I made...smell, well kind of plastic-y. You can smell the FO, but also the plastic. They were not like this when first poured. I have used WSP and Aztec before with no problems... Anyone have this problem?
