  1. Do you guys find you have to wick up NG Cracklin Birch? It was burning fine but now that its down to the last third of the container, it looks like the wick is stuggling and may eventually drown.
  2. I pour just a bit short of my fill line. I wreck the tops than do a very small repour. I use csn's and cdn's HTH
  3. Has anyone tried Peaks Winter Wonderland? If so, what do you think of it? I just received my order of it and although I like it, it doesn't smell like what the description says. The description says it has some spice notes it but all I'm smelling is cranberry and a bit of orange...very similar to CS Cranberry Marmalade. I'm wondering if maybe they sent me the wrong oil
  4. Does anyone know of a lid besides the round plastic dust covers that will fit this glass? http://www.lonestarcandlesupply.com/products/candlecontainers_libbey-tumbler-hb-rocks-13.25oz.html It is the 13.25 Libbey Tumbler HB Rocks glass. I am using the plastic dust covers right now but would really like something different. Thanks
  5. Hi Jonsie, I really like your display too. Very cute! Do you have a link to the IKEA glass holders your speaking about? I'm curious to see what they look like. Sorry I cant help you out with your question, as I dont make tea lights at all. Good luck with them though.
  6. Im not sure myself but wow, they are pretty! Hopefully some one who knows for sure will chime in.
  7. Has anyone tried using palm wax tarts in Scentsy warmers? Specifically Glass Glow? I know glass glow has a higher melting point than many soy waxes so I was wondering if maybe palm wax is too hard for the scentsy warmers?
  8. Can someone recommend a good photographer to photograph candles at a reasonable price? I've tried photographing them myself but just dont want to mess with it. If you have a recommendation, please let me know. Thanks
  9. So I as at Montana Charlies (which is like a huge flea market here) to get a bunch of packages of socks and a new purse. There was a new vendor there who had a table with candles and tarts. Of course I had to check it out. I noticed one of the package of tarts was called "Forest Pine" and had what looked to be a tiny actual pine tree branch in it. I thought..no, maybe its a wax imbed made to look like a pine branch, so I asked the lady what it was and she said "thats actual pine, I take little snippets off the pine trees in my back yard"! Does anyone else think thats crazy? I know some tea light warmers can get super hot and I think its stupid to add dried branches (kindling really) to the wax. My husband thinks I'm overreacting to this as he doesn't think the wax could get hot enough to catch the pine branch on fire. I disagree. What do you guys think?
  10. I love the 4627 too although I have had the best luck with zinc wicks in this wax. This combo gives me a great ht with a good burn. I do like eco wicks and cds too but for the comfort wax, my go too wicks are the zincs.
  11. Soy always makes my fibromyalgia flare up and paraffin makes my chest hurt. Although I make soy candles to sell, I make palm ones for myself If you come across a good soy/plam mix let us know. Good luck.
  12. Thanks guys, i am gonna try a eco 14, a cd 18, 2 eco 6's and 2 cd4's. I was going to use 6006 in these but am now going to use 415 as I have alot of that and would love to use it up.
  13. I love Lone Star too. They are one of my favorite suppliers.
  14. number2of7, what kind of wax are you using? Palm, soy or paraffin? Just wondering. The champagne snow showers sounds good, I think I will try that one.
  15. My favorite burner is a tea light burner too. It throws ht like crazy (compared to my electric tart burner) but the wax does start to smoke and gets super hot so I have decided not to use it anymore.
  16. omg, how scary is that. I'm so glad it didn't turn into a tragedy and that you were able to catch it before it got out of control.
  17. Thanks for the suggestion, I think I will try that and maybe a Eco 14.
  18. I believe General Wax does. I've been using the glassglow form aztec but this new palm sounds very interesting. It actually comes in slab form instead of the powdery crystals that we are used to.
  19. Anybody have some favorite FO's from Aztek? Any that are duds? Im going to be placing an oder for wax next month and thought I would try some of their oils as well. This is for 100% soy wax. Thanks pixie:yay:
  20. Just Scents has a peppermint bark that is an excellent chocolate mint.
  21. Has anyone tried the new Elevance Palm Wax E-100? If so, how did you like it. Is it comparable to candlewic's palm or glassglow at all? Inquiring minds want to know
  22. Hi All, I'm thinking of expanding my line to include 16oz candle tins. I have ordered some from Peaks and will be using 6006. Can someone give me a starting point when it comes to wicking? I've always poured into mason jars and jelly jars in the past but am excited at the prospect of trying something new Thanks so much, pixie
  23. Oh hehe, I didn't see that and started to freak out. Thanks so much for the info
