  1. Wow It really pisses me off that she thinks we may not be her customer base here at craftserver.. WHAAT I spend alot of money there and I'm so angry about these changes. Shipping was already rediculous and now this.
  2. I have not heard of using DPG for perfume oils, I use DPG to make HFO's but for Perfume oils I would use Cyclomethicone instead or jojojoba or FCO
  3. Does anyone know where you can get them now? They look like small cupcake holder with silver foil?
  4. I really need an oil that is from gelluminations/brighter scents but dont' want to order form them .. it seems jd candle suppy also has the same oils, I'm wondering if this is a separate company or? Anyone tried ? I really need this oil
  5. I use starville creme brulee in tarts it is very strong, but to me somehow it is missing that burnt caramel note I really like that peaks and also CS has in their versions. What I usually do is mix Peaks or CS with the Starville which gives me an awesome smelling and super stong creme brulee. Hope this helps
  6. I need both of these does anyone know whether Peaks or CS has better throw in tarts?
  7. I ordered Witches Brew from Save on scents and to me it smells exactly like a head shop, smells like incense burning. I rather like the scent but it doesn't sell
  8. Southern Soapers Tassi Lavender is divine, I usually dislike lavender but I truely love this one, its soothing fresh and floral without being too medicinal like some lavender can be.
  9. I have found NG to have a good Gardenia also really love daystars Cape Jasmine its a gardenia smell and to me is one of the truest I've smelled.
  10. I have tried the stick blender in the pyrex jar but I found it deflated it some as it comes out of my stand mixer very fluffy the way I like it. I whip it on the highest setting until its really fluffy it doesn't take that long. Another way to do it, is to take it out of the stand mixer add it to a measuring cup, then add your scent and color, then simply blend with a spoon, sometimes it doesn't diflate and works for me, while other times I use a regular mixer with only 1 blade attached to do the mixing. You can try the stick blender but I found it to sort of deflate the fluffyness a bit, its still nice but I like it really fluffy. Like you said I think its too powerful and deflates the fluffieness. I would try simply blending with a spoon or using a regular mixer with only one blade. Let me know how it goes!
  11. I don't find the amount of oil makes a big difference in the fluffiness personally, it depends on the base you are using and the machine you are using to whip. I personally prefer WSP Foaming Bath Whip and using a Kitchen Aid or Standing Mixer. If you put too much oil it can loose fluffyness, this happend to me once, also you will loose the foaming action the more oil you add.
  12. What I do is make them as the order comes in also. Usually it is more than one at a time, so what I do is make a batch in my kitchen aid mixer, it tends to get the fluffiest whip with the kitchen aid. But you have to have at least 24 oz in the bowl or it will not whip well. since the Whip atachment does not touch the bottom of the large bowl. I then remove what I need for one 8 oz put it into a pyrex measuring cup, then I add wiltons color with a toothpick, then add fragrance and whip again with a regular mixer. This works the best for me, I've tried premaking but it ends up deflating or getting to hard, I've tried only using a hand held mixer but it does not get as fluffy. If anyone has a better technique I'd love to hear, Everyone loves these but I really dislike making them this way.
  13. I just got some oils too and I also thought the Ooey gooey caramel smelled a bit off, which suprised me as they say it is the best caramel, but to be fair I have not tried it in anything yet. The Chocolate Suede is heavenly it smells to me like Mysore Sandalwood and Chocolate, very unique and different, can't wait to use it. Rose Petals and Cream - this is not just rose, this is very lovely Sultry Angel I'm not sure about, but I think it needs to go in wax !
  14. Absolutely the best and I've tried the others recommended here, is sweetcakes.. Truely smells exactly like Brown Sugar
  15. Yuzu and Tony's Black Pepper are nice together
  16. Here are some that get rave reviews: All of the Downy dupes Pumpkin Crunch Cake Raspberry Zinger 7up Pound Cake Old fashioned Banana Pudding Candy Corn supposedly the best one if you want that, not super strong though Candied Apple, I just like this oil alot Mrs Claus Cookies is Vanilla Bean Noel type Orange Sherbert Gingerbread Harvest Cafe Caramel Pretty much most of the best sellers are good oils, just click on the link and you can read customer reviews, most the time these are pretty accurate and honest Thats all I can think of right now, maybe someone else will chime in
  17. Don't forget the Sweet Orange & Chili Pepper
  18. I love BW Honey Gingerbread but to me it smells alot more like Honey Graham Crackers than Gingerbread. I used peakes Gingerbread Cookies and just ordered JS Gingerbread Goodies for my KY Tart Wax.
  19. I use the plastic ornaments to make mine also, and my technique is to fill both sides with the powder almost over fill it then push the halves together and squeeze then wipe off the excess, then I hold it tight in both hands for a minute or two. Then I open one side, then the other, then I can see right away if it is holding together, if it is I gently take it out into my hands and place it on wax paper, very gently. If it doesn't hold together I do it all over again until it does. With practice It gets really easy! Good Luck
  20. I am curious too how to make it with the fragrance modifier , I'm not used to using a modifer, which one do you use. I know there is more than one polysorbate I think. Would love an alcohol fo modifier recipe. I'm thinking of adding them also, seems easy enough to put in aluminum spray bottles.
  21. Scentworks has the nicest looking bottles!
  22. Hi Drewsmom I just tried this scrub with my soap and Wow! It really is nice, it rinses just clean enough while still leaving some softness. Much better than FBB It was really thick though wondering if that is how it is supposed to be?
  23. Hmm No clue then what it could be. The recipe does seem a bit odd I've never seen beeswax and M&P in a scrub, is this a sugar cube recipe or? I just made kats bubble scrub using shredded CP and it turned out lovely Maybe try that recipe, its a nice scrub Maybe its the combo of those things together
