Are you using Brown Sugar? I do notice some smell in some sugars. Definately Brown Sugar, and I have had Turbinado and Demera that had and odd smell before, seems different suppliers sugar can be lighter or darker and have a tad different smell to them. But I dont' notice any smell really with white sugar, maybe you should try the white sugar then you could possibly try and narrow down the culprit. It could also be the fragrance oil you are using just has a funky note, Maybe Candlescience Strawberry is better for candles, I have it but havent' tried in Bath and Body. I use Oregon Trails for B& B Strawberry Or is it possible one of your oils has gone rancid without you knowing, this would give an odd smell also. If you are using Demera or Turbinado it could be that I do notice a bit of smell from these

I just blended CS Pumpkin Souffle, BW Honey Gingerbread and KY Toasted Marshmallow and it is Awesome with awesome hot throw!! I have no idea what to call it though:confused:

I just got in pumpkin cornbread, OOB its very nice but mostly sweet cornbread with a bit of spice, however it did not throw well for me i'm not sure why with all the good reviews it has and I'm using KY Tart Wax I will say though I am loving Gingerbread Latte from BW it is so so awesome:smiley2: Daystar's Sweet Pumpkin is a very nice blend of sweet and spice, this one had a better hot throw for me, although not super strong, very lovely scent. I also would recommend Peaks Spicy Pumpkin and CS Pumpkin Souffle

I have used wiltons and it worked fine, to do the swirls you make 2 separate batches 2 different colors and then I kneed it together like dough until I like the way it looks.

I use sugar and candy sprinkles and there is no problem, it will not catch fire, and it looks cute :smiley2:

Thanks Melissa... now I feel better for using WSP At some point I thought I calculated it as being more costly Looks like I was wrong and glad to be so No the WSP does not have that odd smell IMO I barely smell anything with the base and I never get the grainyness I got with stephenson's

Do you ever have trouble with the fragrance oils eating the plastic? I use the mini cupcakes and am considering making the switch I know I need a certain type can anyone recommend a supplier for these cups

I use the one from WSP and never have the grainy problem but I did used to have that issue with the stephenson type from chemistry store. Back when I used it this stuff really stank also, the base smell was hard to cover up. I havent' tried the stephenson in a while though and now it is paraban free, anyone know if its better now, I mean minus that odd smell. I find the one from WSP to have no smell and never be grainy, I love it, but it is more expensive.

I Made so many bubble bars that turned ugly brown, and looked like they were molded. vanilla stabilizer did not work either, I've tried it. For some reason bubble bars really brown quickly and easily, the only way around it is to use a fragrance oil with absolutely no vanilla, like single flower notes or citrus I've been searching for over 8 years for a way to make a bubble bar with a vanilla scent without it browning... And still have not found the answer...

I'm looking forward to hearing your results Trappeur, I Have heard alot about that Vanilla. I am also on a quest and just ordered Vanilla Bean Supreme to try also. I just got in Mexican Vanilla from Starville and OOB it smells exactly like a bottle of Mexican Vanilla Extract... still need to test though!!

I have the sweetcakes version, has never sold but suddenly it is selling like hotcakes

For B&B Oregon Trails has some of the best Fragrance oils around. This is one place I can order and feel safe it will be a great oil. Complex or Awesome fo's in my opinion. Love Yuzu Chai Tea Egyptian Musk Amber Dawn chocolate Truffle Cucumber Mint Sunkissed Currants Red Clover Tea I could go on and on Truthfully have never had one that was bad..

You are right there is a citrus top note in the real pink sugar I'm not sure if its Bergamot or what but it is there, some like the citrus top note. I also prefer it without that note. If you want an exact copy with that citrus top note SweetCakes has it. If you want it without that heavy citrus I highly recommend Scentworks to me this one is the best ever better than the original. ICS is also good but somehow lacks some of the depth of the Scentworks version. Peaks is also good. But I will say I always regret ordering from somewhere else other than ScentWorks for Pink Sugar!!

Most of the time I do not get the dimples but sometimes I do, I think if you pour with a lower temp it is less likely to dimple.

The Rockstar Lush Dupe is very Popular, Daystar calls it Liquid Crack I've used it in ParaSoy Blend and it throws well. There is one small soap company that used to have a few lush dupes forgot the name offhand, but Daystar has all of them.. Other Popular ones are Honey I washed the Kids! Sex Bomb Elixer Snow Fairy Candy Fluff Well they are all popular I guess, my bestseller though is RockCandy by far!!
