  1. I want it to blend with Cherry or Orange cherry to making fizzy scents of all kinds. I have a regular lemon lime from SOS but its not sweet enough so I'm not sure on the aroma haven. I really want 7 up I've tried it once long ago from an etailer and it did smell like 7 up and was refreshing a nice summer scent I thought. Its just so high the shipping at candles and supplies or I would have ordered already. In the past I've no liked oils from taylor but maybe I'm wrong on the 7 up. If anyones tried any of these 2 please say thanks so much
  2. Thanks Katshe I'm hoping your right and yesterday was a holiday for them, as I don't recall them not answering in the past, the mail box is full from no one answering yesterday, even this morning I tried and its still full. I really hope they answer me today I need this oil and if its not coming just tell me so I can order it elsewhere thats all I ask for really.
  3. I ordered Pink sugar but it arrived not with my order with a notice out of stock. So I called that day and they said it would arrive that fri or monday for sure and they would mail it to me. Well its been over a week I'm waiting I'm calling emailing with no reply. I'm worried Is this happening to anyone else right now?
  4. I can never get ahold of them, nothing new there but they usually ship fine a little slow but they have some awesome oils so I still use them.
  5. I agree I absolutely hate asian amber, must try amber from tony's so much better or Scentworks Amber also wonderful. Asian amber reaks I also agree on very vanilla and it turns even worse really fast, not a good one, daystar ultimate vanilla way better or connies vanilla voodoo And Lovespell OMG I felt bad sending this to a customer, but alot want me to carry it, but I just can't it stinks. I could make a huge list of dislikes, i have them on my shelves and I refuse to use them. Maybe I'll make a list one day
  6. I really need 7 up has anyone tried either of these, curious which is more true. I've had bad luck with taylor and never tried candles and supplies just curious if anyone has tried either or even better both of these and can tell me which is better. Thanks in advance for any help on this
  7. I Think she is referring to the chemically burnt type smell, I get it with all most all vanilla's and with many other random oils. Its just the oil there are others that don't smell that way. I separate candle and b& b oils some work fine in tarts but even if B&B safe they don't work in lotion, they smell plastic or burnt.
  8. I find some just loose the scent, while most of them have this almost vinegar like smell to them, they are just a bit off. I can tell when they are going bad personally. Also I find some scents will last a very long time while others don't last long at all. Also if u keep the oils in a plastic bottle and the bottle starts to cave in thats a bad sign. I try to move mine to glas to prevent this from happening, I find oils last alot longer in glass. Also my SweetCakes oils seem to almost never go bad for some reason.
  9. The oils are weak and very pricy but a few of them are really special for b&b I wouldn't use any of them in wax, but you cant beat some of her vanillas and fruits, they smell so true no funky notes at all.
  10. Most of my customers just love my tarts. But recently and it seems like it all came from one batch of wax I purchased, I had several customers comment on a plasticky smell from my tarts with some of the scents. I'm not sure what it is but I wish I knew. I have noticed the batches being different.. I too worry about consistensy I plan to try the candle source container blend I just saw a review on.
  11. I Totally agree CS Vanilla is so chemical smelling and in blends its aweful. I thought it was just me and wondered if I should try again for the 3rd time yes I keep retrying it based on all the wonderful reviews thinking something must be wrong with me. But everytime I smell that chemical smell.. This Vanilla Pods sounds really interesting, I really want it but wow the shipping is terrible whith them $$$$ Not to hijack the tread but are there any other must haves from them, will be my first order.
  12. That is the only one I know of in Louisiana, sadly they won't let you go inside to smell anything or nothing.. All you can do is go pick up an online order at the shop.
  13. Yes that is probably what it is because I did package them very quickly and I am in the south so its very humid here. I'm thinking of not sealing them just using the zip close they seem to do fine if I don't heat seal them. It must be the reaction from the humidity, makes alot of since. When its completely airtight then the reaction makes it blow up like that. I went back to one that looked like it was about to explode and it seemed to loose some of its steam so I am not sure if they would really explode or not but I don't want a bath powder explosion happening inside the package LOL:laugh2: Thanks for the help, so glad to hear I am not the only one this happened to you should have seen my face looking at the little bags blowing up, now that was funny:shocked2:
  14. For the first time I'm packaging my fizzzy bath salt powder in these stand up foil clear bags with the zip close and heat seal top, Well I heat sealed it and then the inside blew up with air and it looks like it is about to explode. Is it the Moisture in the fizzy powder doing this? Not sure what to do I really liked thes cute little containers but this looks like it could explode in shipment. Any advice
  15. Curious to hear this also. I've had a few ask for the new Hearts & Daggers Type
  16. I've been testing the one I sprayed out and it seems to be doing wonderful no problems at all its still beautiful and Matte. I'm still reluctant to do the rest so I changed the descriptions letting customers know these are not like the photo's. I can't decide what to do but the Matte one I sprayed looks awesome
  17. Yea dont let that Biatch get you down. If they want factory made Scentsy at those prices let them have it . That was so rude of her, just rise above that messyness.
  18. I've had NG's in the past but wondering if anyone has any preferences for lotions not candles. Does anyone use CS Mac Apple for lotion not sure if its even skin safe.
  19. You just pour them into the clamshell almost to the top and then close the clamshell. Then Put a label on it. Then you can give it as a gift, sell it or use it whichever. Really easy to do...
  20. I don't think Candle making is that simple, I haven't ventured into that yet because I am so busy and I hear it takes alot of testing to really get a good candle. But Tarts are pretty simple I'd say You still need to test your scents and make sure they throw but there is no worrying about wicks and melt pools etc.... I do plan to get myself a begginners candle kit from www.peaks.com sometime when i do have the free time to play around, just because I'd like to make some for myself and friends. I've heard they have good beginner kits. They also have good oils. Wish you the best of luck
  21. LoL I dont' think I would make her anything! But yea umm Pink Sugar is probably a good idea, or maybe some type of spa scent. Maybe some of the Serge Lutens dupes from daystar or Spiritueuse from daystar I love that one.
  22. Doesn't the word Tart refer to a type of dessert I mean really how can Yankee just own the word period. I mean I just wonder how far that really could go, I see alot of people with the term Tart everywhere online. Oh I just find it weird, recently I used the term Potion #9 for a valentines scent on my site and I recieved a letter from some odd co. that supposedly owns this Term I mean really, these are generic english words. Oh I know they did trademark them but really you can't prevent everyone from not using these terms how ridiculous is that. Well I think it is anyway. I'm just curious if they would really sue you or what. That seems like a big waste of money and they would have to sue alot of people. That being said I may need to change mine I do have the word in the name of mine but its not the complete name. Somehow that made me feel it was okay . I just came up with an idea to call mine tartletts I wonder if that is an infringement ? Oh by the way I love the name Posh Melts thats really good, love it
  23. Well I kept one of the green ones for myself so I'm looking at it thinking Dang if only it was more matte, so I had a eureka moment. I have some clear Matte Kylon Spray, so I layed it down covered the bowl and sprayed it and WoW now its Matte and beautiful Now I'm wondering if I should spray them all, just not sure if the krylon spray could cause issues, I turned mine on after it dried didn't take long to dry and its burning a tart just fine no funny smell but now it looks like I expected it to look. Anyone think using Matte Kylon Spray could cause issues with these? I'm thinking to myself the embossed warmers I ordered would look so much better in matte, then I wouldn't have to return them.
  24. Yes you have it right. Also you can get the portion cups these sell the best for me customers really like these and they are easy to pour and package, kind of like a clamshell. Clamshells don't sell that well for me. And they are pricy for the clamshells I dont know about the wax your talking about I use KY Tart Wax for all both cups even in shaped molds ie candy or hearts, and also for clamshells. It works great with all types.
