  1. definately sharp looking candles... I love the colors..
  2. I dont actually make the tealights yet, but that is one of my future endeavors. I would probably do the tealight wicks like my containers and just hot glue em in. By doin it that way I can make sure that everything is centered prior to pouring. Of course that is my preference, and someone else may find their way easier. Try a few different ways to see which you like better then just roll with it.... that is my best advise
  3. I use Label Factory. I have a few others too, but dont use them. Label Factory is an ok program. It lets you add pictures, print different style texts, colors.... The only problem I have is finding the right pictures for the right label.... if you have graphics already , then all you have to do is upload. I hope it helps ya some
  4. Howdy and welcome. You will find all kinds of wonderful ideas and tips on this site.. and ALOT of wonderful people...
  5. For the dipped bears, any good pillar wax will work well. Especially if it holds a good quantity of FO. You have to be careful about the type's of bears or animals you dip tho. The cheaply made ones that have the nylon stuffing really dont work well. I know this from personal experience.... they shrink up into a nice crinkled up ball... As for container candles, it took me quite awhile to find what I was happy with, but now I am changing that again...lol.... I am switching from a Soy blend to J223 container wax. I would suggest just doin the bears for gifts this year and that gives you several months to get ready for next year.. hope this helps ya some:grin2:
  6. I will refill any containers, but if its one that I did not originally sell, I tell them that I have to look at it first, and if I dont think its safe, I wont refill.. so far everyone has been happy with that answer and results
  7. If I can do it, anyone can.... lol... really easy to do.. fun too... course it really makes the kitchen smell gooooooood......lol
  8. IMO you can reuse em over and over.. just check em each time for cracks or chips.. otherwise reuse and recycle is my motto
  9. Angel = Vanilla Silk Bell = Mulberry Xmas Tree = Peppermint Patty Gingerbread Man = Gingerbread Candy Cane (from second pic) = Cinnamon Stick
  10. I reckon I will start weighing mine... cause I want to make sure that I am putting in the maximum I am allowed to get the results that I want... I didnt realize that I may be shorting some of my scents
  11. From my understanding, the only wax that needs curing is Soy or Soy blends. I use JOY wax, and it definately has to cure anywhere from 2 to 7 days. I am switching over to J223, so its nice to know I dont have to cure em... very cool
  12. Gotta be LILAC for me.. cant stand the stuff.. makes my face go numb, but my MIH absolutely loves the stuff, and alot of other people do too, so I keep small amounts around for those that really and truely want it.... :lipsrseal
  13. I just have a quick question. Do you all weigh your FO or just use fluid oz? I also use the little shot glass style for my FO's. When I first got started, was told to just measure out what I needed, but later on saw people weighed theirs..... just checkin to see which is correct... no matter what I use between 1 and 1.5oz PP... that is a given. Thanx
  14. ok. gonna try this again. The one of the ornie is still just a tad blurry, but thats the digital cam for some reason.. The pillar is my first one and its in the scent of sugar plum... I keep it in my office cause it smells wunnerful.. thanx for takin a peek
  15. just got done editing a few pics so I thought I would try my hand at showing them on the gallery. All I could get to work this time was the ornies.... so check em out... I am working on a couple more that came out extremely blurry:mad: .. will post those shortly
  16. take that step. I have used a hair dryer for a few years now, but only for shrink wraps and stuff. Finall broke down and bought a heat gun, and I cant believe I waited so long..lol. I say GO FOR IT
  17. I was thinking a dark blue or purple or maybe a real dark burgandy
  18. sounds like candle nose or maybe they just had not cured fully. JMHO:D
  19. ty ty ty.. thats the one I was lookin for. I found smooth-on 30.. have you tried that one? It seems really easy to use. thanx again
  20. where to get the silicone kits to make molds for embeds? I found some stuff on candlewic, but it wasnt what I had found before... anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.
  21. From the reading I have done, you just paint the straight FO onto both sides of the blanks, and let dry for 24 hours. I have the sites bookmarked and the idea of how many of each im ordering... so hopefully after my last craft show for this year, I will give em a try..
  22. ditto, the 44z seems to work really well for me... I use the 6228 wax for my votives.
