  1. If you are wanting to stay with the flat braid, you mite want to bump it up a notch.. I would also consider trying the square braid.. maybe a #2 or #3.... JMHO... also looks like you mite have the wick just slightly offcenter... but for your first ones they look pretty darn good

  4. Ok...... first off.. welcome to the board. Secondly, you need to give a little more info . How much FO (fragrance oil) are you using per pound of wax? What type and size of wick are you using... and most importantly with Soy or Soy Blends..... how long are you letting it cure before you do a test burn? When you did your test burns... how much of a melt pool did you get? Soy is a tricky animal to use. I was using a Soy Blend from NG and it took awhile to get it just right... I will look for your post and try to help ya as much as I can
  5. Thanx for the advice... I probably will give her the benefit of the doubt and call her.
  6. I was wondering if anyone has recieved wholesale request from a lady named Camilla Nichols with Summerfield Cottage? She emailed me a few weeks ago, and we discussed pricing, items, samples, etc. Well... fortunately for me I only sent (1) 3 x 3 pillar and (2) paks of tarts. Now my emails are being kicked back and undeliverable. I have her email address AND phone number, but was wondering if I should just chalk this one up as a no go.... what do you all think?
  7. how successful have anyones OL parties been? This seems like something I may have to try one day soon
  8. I think someone else asked this too, but didnt see a reply. Do you have to use th 5155 wax or can you use any good pillar wax? I am finding that the OK6228 wax im using is a multi use wax and I really like it.... so hopefully I can use it for the balloon and hurri's....
  9. thanx so much for the info... im on the colonial site now and getting myself set up.. you people rock
  10. I need wholesale suppliers of punched metal electric tart burners, and maybe ceramic ones also... definately on the metal ones. I have a supplier now, but to buy wholesale I am not supposed to resale on the web... which sux as I am hoping to be getting a new website in the near future..... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA:)
  11. we have to be organized now??????? oh man...... im so screwed:waiting:
  12. Jim, I use the 6228 wax as well for my pillars, votives and I do a 50/50 mix of 6228 and j223 for my tarts. Try pouring a little warmer, and then do the swirl with the toothpick. It sounds to me like you may be trying to marble it just a tad too cool..... course thats JMHO...
  13. Can someone post the website addy? I did a search for Fairway, and only thing I can find is a place that does commercial and residential glass for windows, sunrooms, etc........ course its still early in the am, so I am probably just overlooking it....lol....
  14. I use the OK6228 which is listed as both votive/pillar wax..... so far its worked out great.... just my 2 cents
  15. you wouldnt happen to have the web site addy for them would ya? If not I can do a search for em....
  16. where did you get the supplies and what was the scent? Soy also has a tendency to have that soy smell..... it usually goes away after it has cured for a day or so....
  17. who did you go thru to get your stuff submitted on the search engines?
  18. very well done.... love the colors and designs... easy navigation.. definate thumbs up:thumbsup:
  19. try here. She has lots of burners, and you may also be able to buy wholesale... you will just have to email her and find out. Only stipulation is you cant sell em online.... HTH:) http://www.briarhollow.com/tartburners.html
  20. I have looked at that product and even have it book marked. Have you used this and if so, how easy is it to work with? I want to make my own pie crust molds and maybe even my own fruit embed molds, but didnt want to go hog wild until I found out more about it... any comments would be greatly appreciated:)
  21. I tried those using a soy blend wax from NG. The only thing I added was some very light FO. The people that bought them from me absolutely loved them. These ladies were diabetics so the skin on their elbows and feet cracked really bad. Within a few weeks of using them, they saw a MAJOR improvement... I dont make em anymore, but thought I would add my comment to this topic
  22. From the look of the first outer ring, it looks like you have it right... when you get your full melt pool, you should have an outside ring of about 1/4 to 1/2 inch..... so your there it looks like... nice coloring too by the way:)
