  1. For the OP, I answer by saying I don't use any fragrance oils, I only use essential oils. If the person (usually not a customer) keeps on the track I say something like "I blend all my own essential oils for my scents. I get them from various suppliers." If the person is asking for a specific formula "Could you tell me how you make this? I also make salves and would like to sell it too." (which I swear happened last week on tumbler.) I say "Well, like my grampa taught me get out your biggest oldest cauldron, add a goodly amount of various herbs, some oil that you like and heat it for a while. Strain then add your wax..." It's humorous but doesn't really say much about what I am doing but I hope isn't rude. I list all my ingredients on my labels, more then I am required to do by law, I list if things are organic and use the latin names so they are universal. More then that and the person asking can pay my student loans for the education I have to learn how to create such products.
  2. I totally agree with the scent thing. You shouldn't smell the scent outside of the small area it is used in, whether it be candles, sprays, burners, etc. Of course, this is my humble opinion.
  3. There should be a like button for HeyCreekCandles post!
  4. You have to be careful with the F.O.'s too. Watch the recommended usage rate, lots of people are allergic to fragrance oils and can react to them. When you purchase your containers you should be able to get information from your supplier about which plastic work with F.O.'s and/or E.O's.
  5. It's what I use for business. Not everyone in the world needs to have my phone number. In fact I am damned sure I don't want everyone to know it.
  6. If you are in the u.s. I would do a google voice number, a website of your own and an email. However I would not do an etsy website alone, why advertise for a different persons website?
  7. I've had a really hard time finding suppliers up here too. This might help. http://www.suppliersbystate.com/state-listings.php

  12. I hear you. I work really hard on my etsy shop, it is how I make a living. Although some of my product photography could use some work (I am doing it slowly). I also see some incredible businesses on Etsy that have great photography, labels, products, and sales pitches.
  13. Ken, the person at eco vision is super nice to work with. I got samples and really love them. I tested them for six months in various conditions and purses, pockets, bags, drawers, etc. They help up really well. They are push up not screw. The issue I had was cost, unless they are part of a coop I have to wait to move to this type of packaging.
