  1. Man how have I missed seeing your creations. They all like great and the butterscotch one looks so good I think I could eat it. To bad it didnt stay that color. And you know, if you ever need another tester I would be more then happy to offer my services.
  2. :yay:Wow, great job! It looks fantastic. Hey send me a pm about how things are going with the house. Again great job.
  3. Thanks so much, this is such a nice thing to do. I greatly appreciate it.
  4. Man all of you guys are making me want to try this scent. Man I hate being broke.
  5. Thanks guys for the info!!! I didnt go this year because I didnt really find out about it until just recently, we moved into our new house and I have been busy, and plus DH just got a new job and was in Virginia for two weeks for training. So I wouldnt have been able to go since I would have anyone to watch the kids. But I really think I will go next year, I would love to meet a few more people from this board. And plus those goodie bags sound fantastic! And I would most likely spend a few days there, never been to TN before.
  6. I use the balmoral jars from fairwayglass.us and I just love them. They are a pain to wick but once you get it down, it isnt so bad. fairway will send you a few samples it them for free, they are great. good luck.
  7. Hey guys I have never been to one of these conventions and was wondering about it. I am only about 4 hours from Franklin, TN and was thinking about going next year. What is the cost (around about, I know it is really far way), can I go and just see everything (like, I dont have to do a demo, do I?). What kind of stuff is there to see, are there suppliers there selling stuff, and do they sell it cheaper or more expensive since they are saving us shipping? Well thanks for any help. It sounds like you guys had a great time.
  8. I think what they were meaning was how does each candle weigh 4.5 lbs when you are saying that you are sending 90 - 10oz candles. That means each jar would have to weigh 3 lbs 10 oz.
  9. :shocked2: Wow I hope those candles dont burn down your friends house. And just in case they do, I hope you have some really good insurance. :tiptoe:
  10. Well I might be my biggest critic but really they turned out nothing like yours did so I just remelted everything down and just pour regular palm votives. I made then use and ocean color blue and a white, with the fo yacht club from NG. And I dont really know what I did wrong but I didnt have any of the running down the sides, and I waited until the wax was completely pulled away from the sides. And plus all most every single one was cracked and also the layers separated, I did about five different tilted layers on each. But you guys really have some thing that looks great, so keep up the good work.
  11. Yeah, I agree no one should put the pouring pots in the microwave, that is why I said I put it in the OVEN. :tiptoe:
  12. Well I tried this in votives today, and I didnt even come close to looking like your master pieces. I am so jealous.
  13. Looks great!!! Glad to hear it is starting to pick up for you, and congrats to DH for his sales!!!
  14. I have used some of there oils, and was pretty satisfied with them. I use 415 wax. I absolutely LOVE there lemongrass sage. My DH loves there Sugared Vanilla Shortbread, it is really strong for me and give me a headache, but everyone else seems to love it also. I also like there Strawberries & Champagne. I have also ordered the blackberry sage from them to, which I loved and it throw really fantastic in my wax but NOBODY liked it. I also stocked up on the Lemongrass Sage, Sugared Vanilla Shortbread, and Strawberries & Champagne when they had 25% of all one pound fragrance oils in December.
  15. One of my family members complain about this with one of my candles and we finally figured out what the problem was. She forgot about this candle and let it burn the whole night. She said she lite it around 6pm and forgot about it until the next morning around 8am. She said the candle was completely liquid when she got up the next morning. It was only a 4.5 oz glass jar, and thank goodness it didnt break, which it was about halfway gone. So maybe the problem is your candle is be burned for to long . Well hopefully you can figure out what the culprit is soon.
  16. Man these candles are just beautiful!!! Really they are fantastic, please dont change ANYTHING on how you do it. And I hope you guys are selling them for more money than your regular pillars, with all the work you guys put into them. Really these are the most gorgeous pillar candles I have seen in a while.
  17. I know that the search thing can be difficult sometimes but if you are looking for something and cannot find it try changing your words. Like a lot of people just use 464 and not the GB 464. So try that and you should get a lot of threads because it is talked about a lot. Dont be scared by the people on here really they are nice but if you are a regular around here you will noticed that EVERY single new person comes to this board and asks the very same question (and I was one of those people also, and I was told the very same thing). Which I see you are not new to the forum but maybe you dont come here that often so you dont see it that much to realize how often it happens. Please dont take offense to what I am trying to say, I am just trying to help you understand why they come back and say to search. Best of luck.
  18. I do the heat in the oven and then wipe out with a paper towel. Check out this thread for more options. http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69608&highlight=cleaning+pouring+pots
  19. HOLY COW!!! I LOVE THOSE!!!! Well if you arent happy with them you could send them to me . Really those colors look great!!!
  20. Wow very stunning!!! Cant wait to see cut pictures.
  21. I know you asked for seamed jars but check out fairwayglass.us This is where I get all my jars and they are great.
  22. I have to agree with the above posts. I love Candlewic (they were the first place I ever order from), they have been really helpful with everything and have fixed the mistake on one of my orders and even gave me credit for one of the items that was on sale but no longer in stock (it was a candle making kits that they had on sale but it was out of stock and Bill let me get a different kit that was not on sale for the same price). Really you need to call them and let them know what happened, I am sure they would be willing to make it right. But just to let you know they do have a note on there kits saying "Note: Fragrances will change based on availability."
  23. All I can say is please make sure you have insurance for your candles, before you start putting them in stores.
  24. Looks great, I bet it smells fantastic!!!!
