  1. just to add to this...when I used my 4627 in my own soy blend, I spent 2 months trying to figure out why the wicks would start sparking whenever they were relit. I concluded it was a bad shipment of 4627
  2. I bought some from Early American and I've had a heck of a time getting the scent throw I used to from it. I use CD's and CDN's I thought it looked more translucent than usual, not as creamy looking
  3. Just starting all soy candles and I wanted to know if it was normal for a cloudy pool to appear around the wick. Mixing 464 and C3 with some CO. It's burning nicely with a CDN 16 and the flame is tame
  4. I've used the Sweet Dannie fashioned after the sweet annie weed that is so fragrant. It is very strong, but the oils seem to be expensive. Wanted to reorder but decided not to, because of the cost when I checked again.
  5. not liking the new cdn wicks I got. Not enough coating and I believe there is some residue coming off of them.
  6. It must be candle nose. I can't imagine 4627 being weak!!! I have 4 candles burning now, people tell me they can smell them outside. I can't smell anything!
  7. I love the Emma jars as well. They burn good except for the corners. That may be why a lot don't use them.
  8. okay then I'm not alone! I can't believe I messed up 2 loaves. I like the cheese cutting thing...I will look into that. Thanks!
  9. I got a mitre box and a soap cutter from NG. Made 2 decent loaf soaps with melt and pour and ended up totally destroying them by cutting them all uneven. Is this even possible with this equipment. What did I do wrong?
  10. I have tried quite a few too many waxes and always come back to my C3 and 4627 blend. I use about 9% FO with additives. I have actually had people tell me they couldn't burn the candles after a while because they were too strong, (go figure).
  11. I had a customer pick up a non-candle object in my store (new mdse.) priced at $16.99, walk over to my counter and throw a $5 bill at my daughter and said,"take it or leave it."
  12. burnt note....excellent description. I couldn't wrap my head around the description of what I was smelling.
  13. hello there. Not on this site that much anymore. I like the C3 mixed with the 4627 because it gives it a creamy look. I like having the para-soy blend because people are so weird about straight paraffin anymore. The C3 now is not as good as when Cargill produced it. The 4627 gives it a good throw. 6006 mixed with C3 is also a good mix, but you have to wick it so it doesn't smoke

    hope this helps
