  3. That looks great, please post the cut up pics.
  4. Ok, I went looking for this at walmart yesterday but could not find it. And i even asked the employee in the paint department about it and he pointed me to Krylon Triple-Thick Crystal Clear Glaze and said this is what I was looking for. I stayed there and kept looking for the right one and/or the walmart brand but had no luck. So I just got what he told me to get. Well maybe I dont know what I am doing because there are bubbles all over my page and also it makes my paper look blotchy, but they are really shiny. Does anyone know what I did wrong. And by the way how long does it take for the smell to go away, these bad baby stink still and I sprayed them yesterday. So anyways can someone please let me what the walmart brand is called and if you could post a picture of what it looks like that would be fantastic. Thanks so much.
  5. Hey I went to Trader Joes yesterday after reading this tread and looked everywhere for them but I could not find them. If you see them at your Trader Joes could you let me know which section you found them. Thanks so much.
  6. Those look great!!! Sorry they took so long but they look like they were well worth it.
  7. TCS does, here is the link to the CD wick page http://tennesseecandlesupplies.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=28_29
  8. They all look great, but the Jade Mint is my favorite. It is just beautiful. Great job. And I do see a little tint of pink in the Mystique, it might even be a light purple tint in it. Very pretty.
  9. Wow, those are gorgeous. Fantastic job!!!!
  10. They are just beautiful. I really like the second one, those colors are really great together. Cant wait to see them cut.
  11. WOW, very creative. Great job on them. I love them all.
  12. Ok I dont use your wax or those kind of wicks but I thought I would try to help you anyways. The general rule is 1 inch of the diameter per hour. So if you have a 3" diameter it should take 3 hours to reach FMP. But how was the jar was it really hot or just warm? Some people allow there mp to reach full before the normal time as long as the wick isnt a torch or the jar is really hot. And was this the first burn? Most times you dont want a FMP on the first or even the second burn because that usually means the the last half of the candle will burn REALLY hot. So really you should test all the way down to the bottom to get the real results. Also is there a reason why you use so much FO? Not sure about that wax but most times less is more. I just think you are wasting your money using that much FO. Well I hope this helps you out some.
  13. You could post the link to the web page, so we can see it.
  14. Am I missing something, I dont see what it is. I think you forgot to post the picture or it didnt work out.
  15. Actually it has even more meaning when you are posting on forums. You should be even more careful what you say/how you say it because they are not around you to hear your voice or to see your facial expressions to know for sure how you are meaning things. And in my first post I said correct me if I am wrong, which you did but then you gave even more attitude, which I think is just unnecessary. I am sorry if I took it the wrong but that is how I took it. Well I guess we should just agree to disagree. And again sorry if I took it the wrong way but that is why I said correct me if I am wrong.
  16. I had this same thing happen to me too. One Christmas I sent my mom and sister a box that had a candle (scent was lemongrass sage) some fudge I made and some b&b stuff I got. Well they both said the fudge tasted like the candle smelled. So they got rid of it. So now I know never to send candles with fudge(candy) again.
  17. Ok first off didnt your mother ever tell you "it is not what you say, it is how you say it"? I have no problem with other people posting their feedback, that is what this board is about. But you came across, in your post, acting like I was personally attacking you. And this was not my intentions, I was simply giving the OP different scenarios of what could happen. Which is also part of this board, not everyone is going to feel the same. I would have had no problem with your post if it came across differently but to me it was SCREAMING with attitude, like I was accusing you of something. And if this is how you took it, I am very sorry as that was not my intentions. I was not saying that what you do is wrong, just giving my opinion on this situation. I guess we can add this to the list, right along with wet spot, that some people worry about it and some dont. :tiptoe: Well GL to the OP I hope you figure out something that YOU are happy about.
  18. Ok first off (and please correct me if I am wrong) I dont see the need for the attitude. My post was not to you, it was to the original poster. I was just trying to give the OP a view point from someone else. We dont all agree on everything, and we shouldnt, this is what makes each and every one of us different. If we all had the same ideas/opinions this would be a very boring world. I dont know if anything in my post struck a nerve with you, and I am sorry if it did, but my post was not calling you a liar nor was I telling you how to run your business. This was not my intentions but I do think that some care should be handle with this. The OP said "The wax, once resolidified, is seriously ugly! and most definately unsaleable in that condition." And I feel the same way and I thought she should hear this side also. IMO if the OP is going to offer this candle for sale then she should disclose this information BEFORE the sale. If she doesnt and someone does complain and she does mention that she all ready knew, how do you think that customer is going to feel. If it was me I would feel like I got ripped off. Now some people might not say anything but the point is what IF someone does. You might have die hard customers that already know your candles but what if this is a new candle maker trying to get started selling to the public, is this really how she wants her customers to see her product? So again MeridithI am not really sure what I did to warrant that post, as my post was not directed towards you. And again I am sorry if that was the way you took it, that was not what I was meaning to do. KoalaGirl I would say try a smaller wick and see if that helps, it really could be the heat causing it to change colors. And I would definitely try that FO from a different supplier. Well I hope this helps you some. Good luck.
  19. Sorry I know you are not asking for feedback but I have to say that I really liked the website also. And I was really disappointed with what everyone was saying and I really didnt agree with them. But I do have to say that what the other poster did to the site really made it look better and really popped you information. I am just talking about the background. I really like your font and I didnt have a hard time reading it at all. I thought it was very pretty. GL
