  1. Time difference between The USA and New Zealand and the hassle of a call, makes it simply just not worth it. They should receive at least 1 email from at least 1 email address (I sent to 2 or maybe even 3, can't remember) I understand what you are saying, though.
  2. Candles and supplies has a really nice cinnamon for candles and I have used it in various waxes and it is good in all of them
  3. Are their fragrances any good? They mention different strengths, so my question really is, are the basic fragrances any good. Thanks Smacky.
  4. I use Frankincense & Ginger from Candlewic in candles, I don't do soap, and wow, what a great manly smell!!! You could always give it a different name
  5. I love your labels. I think the tops are fine
  6. I have sent numerous emails to them in the past just wanting to do business, never received a reply. I have since placed very large orders with other companies.
  7. Stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I find their service great, I get my order in New Zealand within a week. They do, however, have Fedex pick up on Fridays, I believe. I will continue to order from them, they are great.
  9. I find the wicking of both fairly similar, EO's and FO's but each EO can vary slightly so a lot of testing is needed. I get my EO from Australia and New Zealand. The heavier oils like vanilla are the ones that make the surface harder and appear to have a look of soy being mixed with paraffin. These oils need wicking up also.
  10. Strange, but true, I use EO's at around 5% and find that my wax is harder
  11. She's a cheapskate. Sell her something but don't send her FO. Ask her if she uses pot pouri and how long that lasts!!!!!
  12. Lavender works well. I am busy testing some other EO's but won't be finished for some time yet, I will post when I have more info.
  13. I have just finished testing GB464 and found that tempering didn't work (I remelted wax that I had poured about 6 months ago and repoured candles from it) I find the tops lovely, do get the odd crack which the heatgun sorts out, but in general they look good even after burning and setting up again. Dye definately makes a difference to frosting, so I prefer dye free. With regards wick, I have found (other than shrooms) an RRD 50 works in the 3" and 31/2" containers.
  14. Finally!!!!!! here are some burning pics. Don't know how long it was burning for as I wrote it down somewhere and can't find it!!
  15. Will post some pics of one burning, but where oh where will I get the time. Took a photo about a month ago already!!!:rolleyes2 Thanks for all your nice comments
  16. You are right, stress relief or someones face:highfive:
  17. If you put it into a bag or box at an angle and smack in the middle with a hammer it will break in half easily, you then do the same with the halves and quarters. Hardly any mess and any serious bashing needed
  18. I agree with groovy chick. Micro is a sticky wax as far as I know.
  19. I have found that the yellow is common if you put in too much dye, it takes miniscule amounts of liquid dye to get ivory/cream. My husband once used too much ivory in paraffin wax and it came out orange!!
  20. IMO FO throws really well in palm and it takes a higher FO load without additives. BUT some can smell really awful in palm but really nice in parra, so be careful.
  21. Thanks for your comments. I have unfortunately come across most of my retailers asking this now, so guess I have to get testing and give an estimate, what a pain in the... Some idiot decided to enter the market and put burn times on all their candles so now everyone thinks they have the right to know. The candles I have tested (opposition) have almost drowning wicks in their containers even though a long burn time but then you might as well buy a melt!@!!!
