  1. My goodness, how did you get that to work? I find LX 16 barely works in my palm, let alone the beeswax!! Mine is fully refined and I find wicking really difficult. The wax also burns very fast if I get the wick size right not to get any hangup. Work in progress for me, so I am afraid I am unable to give any advise.
  2. So right, but unfortunately people are suckers and believe all this complete and utter @@@@@ to the extent of frustration. I wish I was very wealthy because I would certainly take the bunch of them to court and sue the hell out of them!!!!
  3. At least in the USA you have high import duties on your candles from China, we have free trade agreements with China and you know what that does to the price of candles!!! You have to aim for the other end of the market.
  4. I personally hate a tin candle as you don't get any aesthetic beauty out of it, it is dull and morbid. BUT there are many people out there who have been sold the idea so they like buying them and this is the reason I make them, to satisfy the customers:D
  5. I have been testing crystalline from candlewic. I use RRD50 and it burns quite nice but can leave wax behind, RRD55 burns great BUT with both these wicks I find that when you get halfway down the container the wicks dance and at the end you always get black soot around the top of the glass. Tried other wicks but they are not good for palm. I think this is always a problem with palm and can't see a solution. Anyone out there?
  6. As I am finding, beeswax is a PITA to wick, my gosh. I find it burns ultra fast with a bigger wick and a touch of hang up and major tunnelling with a smaller wick. Can't win in a container wider than 2". It needs additives in a container.
  7. Lovely I can't see bubbles myself. Love your jars
  8. Complete and utter horse@@@@@@it! these people talk and for the water soluble part, I put it to the test. Put soy and water on to melt and then turned off and soy did look very water soluble NOT, it was a nice layer of wax at the top!!!!!! 50% longer burn time, my foot. Anyway don't want to ruin my day by getting riled. These are the kind of people that I would like to smack.
  9. I'd like to know where to get some. I guess they are slotted with overlapping edges perhaps??
  10. Thanks, Stella. Good luck Sabrina and please keep us updated with these burns
  11. People know of paypal all over the world so I don't see why it would put them off. Do the free option, although you still have to pay interest.
  12. I agree, Stella. I hate the smell of Frank EO, yuk!!!! and it is a very thick yellow colour.
  13. Stella, I thought the Naturewax C3 was 100% soy?? Sabrina, what soy wax are you using?
  14. Maybe a silly question, but how long does it take for the ink to dry!! Do you put some sort of sealer on it so the black doesn't rub off?
  15. I was going to go with black and white as my logo is all about the silver fern and all black colours, but black is off putting for anyone and is too harsh. I would keep the surrounding pics and have a pale background to complement it.
  16. Be aware of import duties, taxes, etc as they are part and parcel of international shipping
  17. Circle

    Cherry

Candlewic has a lovely Cherry, but be warned it burns your nose hairs (even if you don't have any!!) right away!!
  18. I find the Golden Brands 464 soy smells like vanilla but the C3 has no smell, hope that makes sense. I guess it is the type of additives or none
  19. THat is very kind, thank you, but I think at this stage, I will stick with my existing suppliers
