  1. Once I get them, I will definitely post OOB and also once I get them into wax. I remember using Christmas Fantasy years ago--one of my personal favorites during the holidays and tested a few others--all were nice and very good quality.
  2. I love OT pumpkin pie. I usually mix it with Amish Harvest (although it's wonderful by itself, too). If I want something spicier, I mix it with JS pumpkin pie spice (have to wick up with that one).
  3. I jumped on the band wagon and ordered them (along with some others), too.
  4. When I poured straight paraffin candles for testing I then test burned them the next day.
  5. Has anyone tried blending the 4627 with a straight soy wax?
  6. Thank you Tracey I'm gonna try the Eco right now. May also pour this scent @ 6% & see what happens with the zinc and the Premier wicks. The zinc always gives me a nice even burn but the mushrooms & soot are bugging me. Thank you again!
  7. Need some expert advice please. I usually use zinc wicks but wanted to test some other wicks due to mushrooming, soot, etc., I often get with zinc. Tested several sizes of the Premier in the 18 oz. Victorian jar which is about 4" at the widest point but even the 799 is not giving a full mp, even after multiple long test burns (5 + hours). I use a 60/40 parasoy blend and 8% fragrance load (smell of Christmas from Aztec), no color. I've got CD, LX, HTP, & Eco wicks available. I was thinking maybe a CD22 or Eco 16 to try next. What are your thoughts and recommendations? Thank you all--it's so good to be back on this board --y'all are always so helpful and kind!
  8. Trappeur, thank you for the description--looking for a scent similar to Chemessence's Christmas Memories & wondered if that one would fit the bill.
  9. Kind of off the subject/question but how do you like that scent--is it more orange than cinnamon or balanced? I was eyeing that fo & wondered about it.
  10. I have been testing the 464 recently in a parasoy blend--waited 3 days to start test burning. I had something odd happen & maybe someone can jump in here & explain it for me. I test burned an orange/cranberry scent after 3 days of curing (one of my regular scents) & got the dreaded fuel/butane smell, which I don't usually have with this fo. Waited 4 more days & re-burned & no fuel smell--why is that? Plan to burn it again in a day or two just to see what I get.
  11. I agree with PC brook plus pumpkin carrot streusel from the Candle Source
  12. They're all lovely and eye-catching. I personally love 1, 3, and 5 the best.
  13. Thank you Kinesis, just placed an order.
  14. Kinesis, where did you find a 2 lb bag of 4627 if you don't mind my asking?
  15. I LOVE their holiday scentsations scents (it's similar to citrus and balsam from Elements). Their AJ&P, Christmas Past, fig melon, vanilla pumpkin, and warm hugs are all good and very good throwers for me. If I recall, their snickerdoodle is almost exactly the same to my nose as Sissie's sugar cookie from BCS and throws well, too. HTH
  16. I used Southwest Candle Supply's interchangeably with Tennessee''s. They call theirs Marketplace--very strong, too.
  17. What other supplier carries a spiced cranberry like BCN but is even stronger? I don't really need anything else from them right now so thought I would see if anyone else carries the same scent. Thanks!
  18. It's been years since I've used it but Steve at the Candlemaker's store has one that is straight up tart cranberry--no spices. I used the premium version in parasoy & it threw like crazy.. Call him & he will let you know which one to get.
  19. Luci, I, too, loved Satsuma from Scentworks but I also loved Snowdrift's, which I had tried first --the two are very similar.
  20. My favorite original Christmas tree scent was from Tradewinds so I'm taking the plunge and ordering a whole pound. (although I do love sugared spruce and also Peak's spruce) I also saw the pink lids for breast cancer awareness so ordered those to go on top of some of my jars. Their cranberry citrus is very nice in my parasoy blend as is the olive blossom.
  21. Don't know about dark brown sugar but best straight brown sugar I ever tried was Daystar's--great alone or as a mixer. HTH
  22. I use wooden dowels--same ones I've used for over a decade. Just wipe them off with a paper towel & stick in the next pot. I usually stir for about 30 seconds or until fo looks fully incorporated into wax.
  23. Aztec, like all fo suppliers, is hit and miss. Love their Smell of Christmas--a pain to wick but such a nice fragrance oil.
  24. Thanks Trappeur--have both of those sizes in the cd wicks.
  25. Bought them at a local grocery store last year on clearance after Thanksgiving--no shipping charges woohoo!
