  3. I know it will probably very depending on the type of wax and so on... But, Roughly how many 3x6.5 round flat-top pillars could you get out of a presto-pot full of wax??? If knowing the wax would be more accurate, I'm Planning on using the Ecosoya PB Pillar Blend From Candle Science.... If I decide to start doing this as a hobby... I want to know How many molds to buy... Don't want more than I need... LOL...
  4. I joined this forum to learn how to get the most out of my candles... I Do Trims my wicks before each light. My Question is: What would be considered a full melt pool for a 2-1/2" X 6" Parafinn Pillar. Thank sIn Advance.
  5. Search "Power Burning" or "Testing" u will come up with alot

Personally I find that they work better if I Microwave them just long enough to get them out of the jar; take out the wick; and break them apart; and put the pieces in a jelly jar on my candle warmer. Much better throw this way!; and it lasted a week for me... If you just burn them like a candle, you guys could make them with better throw if you had the FO's...LOL...

  8. One of these syringes like they use for feeding tubes might also work for measuring FO. There made of a hard Plastic... and some even have oz's labeled on the side like this one. "This is also what we use to collect water samples from our pool in the summer time."
  9. Candle Science gives cold throw discriptions. Here is there discription of IGI 4627 on their site "IGI's comfort blend is the reigning fragrance champion! This wax can hold 2 oz. of fragrance per pound (12%), and has incredible hot and cold throw. This wax is very soft, and is packaged in a 25 lb. bag.   11. Since Different People intupert stuff differently... I thought it would be cool to have a thread that people can post What THEY consider to be Power Burning. I always inturpted to be... Burning the same candle all day non-stop Or for 5+ hours at a time.

  13. I am just posting to give all you Great Chandlers... a consumers prospective...LOL... I Don't Make candles But, when I buy them... My Computer room is 158 inches X 184 inches with a Bay-Window The 158" is measurering from the inside wall out into the middle of the bay Window (without the Bay-Window the room would be 184" x 136") And if it fills that up... It's a Buy again in my Book!!!...LOL...

  15. Thanks for the infomation, I was going to get some and put on a plate with marble accents like them clear aquiraum marbles. I was going to use them as more of a decotive thing anyway... I just thought I would ask how the throw was too...LOL...

  18. It was just a thought, maybe the only thing that can smell as good as Thanksgiving-day is the Real Deal!!!...LoL... I guess I'll just stick to Cranberry for a Thanksgiving-like scent...

  20. This is where Microsoft Excel, or MS Spreadsheet would come in handy...LOL... You could even use MS Word Processer if you wanted to deticate each page to a speific Candle and/or Product... Just save it on to a Flash-drive; in the case of Computer-issues...LOL...
  21. While we're on the subject of Yankee, before this thread bites the dust...LOL... I wanted to ask: I know nobody knows for sure but are Yankee's Candles Paraffin or a Mix of Waxes... I figured you guys/gals that are into candle making could take an Accurate-guess... As much as you look at types of waxes and stuff...LOL...
