  1. karen lynn, I want to say thank you for recommending BCN Strawberry Jam! I ordered from BCS, though it is a BCN "favorite." It smells so wonderful in my kitchen. And I have gotten such a wonderful throw! It is awesome!!
  2. Not that I know anything but I was thinking about double- wicking these jars, as I also have some but have yet to use them. :undecided
  3. Thank y'all! I was actually wondering whether I should order new wicks I wanted to try from a different supplier and I stumbled upon this thread!! Now I will stick with BCS for my wicks. Thanks for the advice!
  4. I have gotten a horrible stomach virus, so other than take care of my 2 yr old, I didn't do much today. But tomorrow, I will test my new jars with a couple new FOs like Blueberry Muffin (BCS) and Blue Lagoon, Flip Flops and Beach Bum (all from JS). I want to make another attempt at pillars too. It has been awhile since I last tried and am not hoping for much but will keep at it! Sunday, I don't know what I'm doing. Hopefully cleaning house as I like to get it done before the week starts. My son has therapy during the week (we think he might be slightly autistic) so it is nice to have the cleaning out of the way! **Have a great weekend, Everyone!!
  5. Those candle look AMAZING!! Your hard work and practice really paid off! Maybe one day mine will look that good, too!:highfive:
  6. I will keep my eyes peeled since I am on a quest for new jars. I love this one too. It screams charm and whimsy, but is sophisticated at the same time!
  7. Oh burner covers...I do it constantly!! Glad you and your house are ok!!*super banana*
  8. I am such a beginner and don't always get the throw that I would like but... CHESTNUTS & BROWN SUGAR- JS, (kicks a$$ every time!) I use 6006, BTW:D
  9. Hmm...sounds like a pyramid scam to me. It amazes me how so many people can fall for those things. I read the terms and conditions and nowhere did it say how much money you have to pay. I know right now you can start for free, but you would have to pay. That's how they make their money, especially since you can't click on the link to purchase their products!
  10. Try Home Depot. Or Lowes. Look in the insulation department. It is called foil tape if you have to ask someone for help finding it. My parents gave me some that they had because mold sealer alone didn't cut it. My first 2 pillars leaked and red wax got all in my grout of my tile countertop. Thanks to the trusty heat gun, I was able to clean it up realatively easy! Anyway, the foil tape works good.
  11. Thank you, Candle Man! That is good to know!
  12. Thank you. I will look at it in the morning. I poured at 6pm but I will just wait. I read that a water bath adds a little sheen to it. But if it isn't that much of a difference, that's one extra step...
  13. I just made my first pillar today and I was wondering when you can release it from the mold. It is a 3x6 inch mold. I have it in a cold water bath right now.
  14. Congratulations on quitting smoking!! I am about to quit myself in about 4 weeks. Remember, you can't have even one cigarette. That's how I always fall off the wagon, thinking I can have just one. Good luck! Keep up the good work!
