  3. Heat up time 2 hours!!! Damn i'd be bored out of my head by then....and asleep lol. Anjie,x.
  4. I keep coming back to look at that!! HOW ON EARTH do you do that??!! I mean.....how? Just......how? How?
  5. OMG Bruce! You flash git LOL. That is truley FAB and you are truley talented!!! Anjie,x.
  6. Each to their own i suppose, but I don't like it personally. I think it looks a mess and it would annoy the hell out of me to have to look at it Just my personal opinion though Anjie,x.
  7. If you heated up the wax and let it sit for a bit undisturbed, wouldn't the sand fall to the bottom?? So you could drain off the clean wax from the top? Anjie,x.
  8. I've not done a votive forever pillar, but I have done a few tealight ones, I didn't have the plugs either so I pushed the glass tealight holder upside down into a flattened out piece of bluetac, then cut around so the bluetac was level with the edge of the glass, I then pushed the glass holder upside down into the mould, which stuck and sealed it at the same time. I've had no leaks yet. When its time to remove the pillar I push a wick pin through the wick hole of the mould, and push down gently on a hard surface and it breaks the seal of the bluetac and pushes the pillar out without damaging it, because the wick pin is pushing on the glass and not the wax AS LONG as the candle is ready to be removed and is not still squishy in the middle Not that I have ever done that but I bet it would make a mess. Did that make sense LOL. Anjie,x.
  9. You're not using stearin in your wax are you? I made this mistake and ruined my mould. I read somewhere that you can use vybar as a substitute when using silicone. Someone correct me if I am wrong....I mean....mistaken Anjie,x.
  10. I've seen some strange looking wick tabs especially for votives, they are a hexagon shape (i think) and they have spikes on the corners to grip into the wax. Now where did I see them??? Anjie,x.
  11. Oh wow Yvette! You're actually doing it then Go girl...and good luck. Let me know how you get on. Anjie,x.
  12. Do you have to do this everytime you use these pots then? Anjie,x.
  13. I haven't got one myself (as much as I would kill for one!!) but don't you have to wait for the wax to get hot enough to melt the wax inside the spigot thingy?? Can't you blast the tap with a heat gun breifly to free up the blockage - if thats the problem??? Anjie,x.
  14. Thanks Mike. I don't know how you guys do it! Just to think about starting a business would have me in a blind panic!! So much to do, so much responsibility, so many things to remember.....damn i'd forget my head if it wasn't nailed on Respect to you all :highfive: Anjie,x.
  15. I was just sitting here thinking about all the fragrance oils I want to try and about all the ones that I have tried and love. There are soo many, it makes my head spin! Those of you with businesses, do you have a set range of fragrances that you offer? How many are in your range? and how on earth do you decided??? LOL. Or do you just make and sell what you feel like making at the time? Anjie,x.
  16. Don't know if it will make a difference, but have you tried contacting them through ebay? Anjie,x.

  19. I often wonder how other peoples candles burn compared to mine :embarasse I've bought commercially made ones and am left feeling extatic at how mine burn afterwards *LOL* There is a mushroom fest going on there I know sometimes they are just something that you put up with and if you get them you trim and relight the wick, but I don't like them and since I've started getting the hang of wicking, I don't get them much Are you more confident in your work now? Anjie,x.
  20. Yep, i've had candle science moulds shipped from the States to the UK and they are fab! No complaints here at all. Anjie,x.
