I'm experimenting with Strawberries and cream with Lemon pound cake to make a strawberry lemonade. Gotta tone down the lemon a little bit, but I'm getting there.

Fresh Peach from NG smells just like fresh peaches right on the money. I love pouring this and have sold quite a lot of it.

I have bought a few from them Canteloupe....not too strong but has a good hot throw Pumpkin Spice...So strong I can't pour very much of this at one time. sea breeze....Don't care for it but it's a good seller.(I renamed to to Ocean Breeze. Cinnamon Bun...Great cold and hot throw and right on the money. HTH

I used to manage a local Pizza Hut, when I would get a bad check, I would first place a call to them then send a registered letter, if they didn't respond I just took the check to the DA and they handled it from there on. Didn't cost anything as the DA tacks a fee onto the total of the check when the person came to pick up the check, then the DA would issue a check to Pizza Hut. HTH

I got a sample from NG the other day, smells right on the money OOB, gonna make a couple of testers tomorrow afternoon. If it smells as good in wax as it does OOB I think it'll be a great seller.

ohhh I like them too. They look great. I like the dark color in them. I just wish anything I make would turn out that well. :highfive:

I was one of those that thought you just buy wax, FO, color wicks and containers and a perfect candle was born.......yeah right. Little did I know that I had to test every FO, wicks and wax and for the first months I did more testing than I did anything (and still testing.) I was already doing that when I found this board, but it's a never ending testing thing, you buy new FO gotta test , you buy a different kind of container/jar you gotta test, same with wax and everything. I started out with a few FO, tested everything and now am selling the containers, but only the ones that have passed mine and a few more peoples testing. I won't sell a candle that has not been tested. I want my customers to come back and first and foremost I want a SAFE candle and if I make something that my name is on, it's gotta be good and I won't sell anything that I wouldn't buy myself. I am now into pillars, don't have many of them in my inventory and won't until I test everyone I make. You gotta love this or you won't stay with it because there is more work than people think.this board is a blessing to me, so many great chandlers with a wealth of knowledge on here. Well here I have rambled on again.

I went to our local dollartree, asked if they had tart warmers and the lady working there looked at me like I was a nut and said "Tart warmers...what is that?" I proceeded in telling her and she said "nope, never heard of those things" geeze I know some here in the south are way behind in times, but not that behind.

Hope you had a grand day at your grand opening. I know you are thrilled to have a great shop like that. That is my dream of having a little candle shop. When you get some rest, let us know how things are going.

I've only made 3 black candles and it didn't look black enough at first, I put in 5 drops of black liquid dye so I experimented and put in a smidge of brown and a smide of red and got a nice true black.

I haven't made any tarts yet, but have a few tart molds and am expecting an order for clam shells so soon as I get them, gonna go on a melting frenzy to make some. Don't know how well they will sell around here, but if they don't I have a couple tart melters that I can keep my house smelling good with. Glad you are enjoying your new addiction.

I'm not a pot expert but different kind of weed, sometimes smell different. I know because my brothers used to smoke the stuff back when and I admit I tried it, but didn't inhale.

Just made some muscadine, and black cherry bomb using the joy wax. Wow great cold throw, can't wait to test those babies. And I just ordered more FO from NG, had to have apple jack peel, cranberry tea, and of course the muscadine. I was getting the muscadine from the same lady that I got the Blackcherry bomb and she said she has hers special mixed, well I can tell you it doesn't compare to NG muscadine.....geeze I have become an FO addict. Any of you have a 12 step program for this??

trying the rock salt, it has been in the jar for over 2 weeks, been shaking, shaking and more shaking and it's still wet. Gonna add more salt and see what happens. don't think it will ever absorb all the fo.
