  1. Here are the 2 tilted ones I did last night. The smaller one is the one that I let slip and wax went everywhere. I think they look okay considering all that happened when making them. The FO is French Vanilla and cappuchino. Thanks for looking.
  2. Thanks all again. The key lime is from a candleshop/supply about 30 miles from here. She has killer FO but too pricy plus the gas to go get them, I found out that she gets most of hers from NG and even with shipping I'll come out better getting them from Peak or NG.
  3. Those are GREAT. Love those colors too.
  4. Great rustic. Love the colors also. I'm using 4625 and most times mine come out rustic when I'm not even wanting rustics.
  5. Great candles. Love all the colors too and the jars.
  6. Thanks all, the support on this board is awesome. I unmolded the ones I did last night, they look okay considering everything that happened. The one I spilled looks halfway decent. Gonna burn it later for a tester. I'll post pics when I get all my mess cleaned up. When I went in there to take them out of the mold, I cringed at the splatters I still gotta clean up. I keep telling myself the longer it's there the easier it will be to scrape off :rolleyes2 Thanks again.
  7. Great job, they look soooo real. Now I'm hungry.
  8. I'm okay, I was just soooo upset. I'm not gonna quit, I love this too much. I was peeved at what a clutz I have become. What got me so bad was the first layers were really looking good. Went to bed, dozed off woke up in about 15 minutes and just had to go check on my candles. Did another pour and they don't look so hot, but what the hey, if they don't turn out alright I'll just repour and make something else. I cleaned up most of the mess but still have little splatters on stuff that I am not gonna tackle now. Tomorrow is a new day and if I'm still a clutz I'll just keep on trying.
  9. I'm so bummed, had two presto's going, trying to make a tilted layer pillar. First got ivory dye all over my hands (no I didn't learn from the first time this happened) got my first layers poured, hardened, filled the molds with the second layer, went to tilt one, slipped , hot wax spilled all over the floor, my work table, and my right foot. I'm about to throw in the towel. (almost in tears) think I'll go to bed and let the wax dry and try to scrape all the mess up in the morning.....
  10. double wowzers. those are beautiful. Please come to Alabama and show me how to do that.
  11. I love it. Think I'll try that wet towel method.
  12. Wow, that looks sooo real.Great candles.
  13. If the wax is getting hard enough to move in the jar, I'd say it isn't container wax. I know I haven't been in this long but all the container waxes I use are soft and creamy even after it is poured in jars. JMO
  14. sounds like a great idea to me. It would be nice to see what everyone thinks of different FO. Got my yes vote.
  15. pretty candles. Like the colors too.
  16. great candles. all my remelts usually turn into chunks.
  17. Great candles, the emerald ones are my fav, but love them all. Makes me wanna make more candles, but too tired tonight.
  18. Wow, great candles, love those colors and I bet they smell as good as they look.
  19. I am still a somewhat newbie on here, but gotta stick my 2 cents worth in. Don't do what I did, bought wax, wicks, dye, FO etc. and thought all yu do is melt wax color, mix fo and pour into wicked containers. I was in for a rude awakening. No matter what kind of candle you are making you gotta read, read and read some more, then you gotta test test and do more testing. Not trying to discourage you but you gotta love it or you won't stay with it, it will become more like work. I really love making candles. There is always something new to try, never gets boring. JMO
  20. Thanks all. Just placed an order with them. I got a few samples just to try, plus a lb of black cherry bomb and a slab of the joy wax and a few other things, now can't wait til Monday to get these.....and I wonder where all my money goes.....Remember that song "Up in Smoke" well I guess mine goes "Up in FOs" :D
  21. Has anyone tried this, and if so, how do yu like it? Any help appreciated. TIA
  22. Great looking candles. You do good work.
  23. Both of you have some good looking candles, great meltdowns. Most of my melt downs turn into chunkys.
  24. Thanks Denise. But now I want to order ALL the scents that were posted (except for the one that you said smells like burnt mud in a dark wood) If I keep ordering FOs, hubby is gonna have a hissy fit. Thanks again Denise. Now I'm off to place an order and hope hubby is busy when it is delivered. :rolleyes2
