  1. Double Wowzers Tucker, those are great. Love the colors too. You got it going. :highfive:
  2. same here about the curing, but I put my lids on after about 8 hours.
  3. Had a slab of Paraffin, no additives, just plain ol paraffin (got it months ago at hobby lobby) and melted some last night, only added fo and color, was trying for a mottled or anything but a shiny pillar, but that's what I got shiny pillars with 2 small spots on top that mottled. What can I do to get a mottled look with straight paraffin? When I want a shiny candle can't get one, if I'm going for something else I get a shiny one.....ready to pull my hair out........
  4. How'd you do that? That's one big muffin, great tho.
  5. That is great and the label sets it off. I know she will love it. :highfive:
  6. Yep, and wouldn't you know it, if I had wanted a shiny smooth candle it would have probably crackled. :rolleyes2
  7. I like that container. I'm not too fond of licorice, but bet it smells good to those that do.
  8. I love those. Way to go. :highfive: I can't get the wiggle down pat. I usually just make a mess, but as you all know, I will not quit, I shall try again....

  10. That's neat. Great candle.:highfive:
  11. I bought a slab of it, and it has it's pros and cons. It's a nice creamy finish, colors well. I don't get as many wet spots with it, but have to really blast it with the heat gun cuz it has some dips in it after its cooled and some scents don't throw well with it. I like my J50 and J223 better. You'll just have to try it and see how you like it. JMO
  12. gotta make samples for a fundraiser...Then gotta pour some containers of muscadine and blackcherry bomb, I can't keep these scents in stock. when I get that done, gonna experiment...

  14. aww she's a cutie. I love that. :highfive: I gotta quit looking at these bear pics, wants me wanna try and make one, and I sure as heck don't need to start on new projects, can't keep up with what I'm doing now.

  16. wowzers those are great, I love those colors and I bet they smell devine, I love honeysuckle :highfive:
  17. I've tried to crackle some of my chunks but it doesn't work for me. I dipped them in boiling water for about 20 seconds, then plunged them into a pail of ice and water but the only thing it did was make them smooth and shiny. I've tried it 3 or 4 times and it just didn't work. It may the 4625 wax I'm using or I'm just not doing something right. Edited to say: I just did a search on the board and 4625 won't crackle because it's a blended wax and is not brittle enough to crackle....Glad it's the wax and not me. Guess I'll have to try a wax that's not blended.
  18. Thanks, I didn't think they looked that good, I just thought the colors came out cool looking. Gonna test and then if they do good gonna put the others up at the movie rental place that lets me display and sell my candles. If they don't sell I'll use them for myself, I love the vanilla smell.
  19. I think I'd put that email in the trash bin. I think that's someone just wanting some free stuff. JMO

  21. So sorry about all your troubles, but seems like you have a good attitude about it. Hang in there sweetie, it'll get better. You're dreams will again be right on track. ((((big hugs)))
  22. Yes Satin Thank you. I wish I had had something like that when I first started testing my containers, now I need all the help I can get for pillars, votives and such. This is a great idea. :highfive:
