Ok, I see many other sites carry palm wax. What is the difference between these?? I buy mine from CS, I read the write up on the wax and wonder what is the difference in wax itself, CS stresses alot about where they get thiers from and how much better it is for the enviroment.They also are out of almost all of the palm again.Why are the other sites not out?Is CS palm that much better?? Someone please shed some lite on this. :confused:

I think they look good..i still shrink wrap mine.Its a pita but thats the way I like them best..

Sorry I should of been more specific.My votives are so soft that I have to put them in the fridg for a few mins to get the pin off. When I used C 1 they just popped right off.To me they just seem so soft and creamy. I guess I dont know if that is the way it is suppose to be.

Hi, I make gift baskets up and have had great success with them I use to use the cello wrap with the bow, but you really could not see in them very well.So now I shrink wrap them.I buy the shrink wrap at my craft store ( with coupon)Wrap it, blow it and according to what is in it top it off. At christmas I put a to and from tag on it along with a bow.They look gorgeous.Sometimes I wrap ribbon around like you woould a gift box. I think this is the best way . Good luck and have fun

I have always used Cargil V1 for my votives and tarts.I though seeing I get everythng from CS I would switch to the EcoSoyaPB for my votives and tarts.Im not loving it. It is so soft.Im not use to this. Is thier anything I can add to the wax? I also switched from C1 to C3, again not loving the switch.C3 seems so much softer to me. I wonder if its because C 1 is not all soy like C 3? Any help would be great...

I only did it the first time, every thing has been ok.No question is a dumb one.

I also used my turkey fryer,I didnt have any problems with the fryer it was the human who was running it that had the problem. I do not have an oven in my basement to heat my containers, so I use my heat gun. I thought I would turn my fryer up to 220,so that after I mixed color I would have enough time to heat containers and let wax cool to add scent. I then dropped my spoon into the wax and splash!!!WOW it was HOT. It melted my spoon and was not very finger friendly. So yes the fryer works well, its the human behind it that needs to be aware.

I always ordered my soy from NuScent.I placed an order on a Thursday for 30 of one type and 20 of another kind. I paid thru paypal right away. I received my shipment statement. Well that date came and went. I finally called and they said I owed them 9.49 more, because the shipping calculator can not weigh two different boxes. They said they sent me an email stating this. I argured for 10 minutes stating I never received that email. They did not believe me. I then cancelled my whole order. They now are charging me 5.00 or 10% of the order. Which ever is greater. (how nice).I then shot of a very nice (LOL) email. to the company. I called 3 days later to see when they were refunded my money. The owner got on the phone and said the person who I argured with was right . The department that sends emails out told her that they sent one to me about owing $. She goes on to say she looked in to it and the email was not sent, but the woman was not at fault because thats what she was told. So she then said I guess you both were wrong so lets just start over. I hung up and called CS vented to Diane and then placed my soy threw them. I now get everything from them and will for as long as I make candles. By the way I got a total refund. Whoopie..

That is the million dollar question.I use to take all 50 scents to the shows. Then I finally realized this is not worth it.I now am offering 10 scents.Votives tarts and jars. I will have most of my stock under my tables and display the rest on top. I am using shelves so I can utilize more table space.I will take 4 dozen of each, and 15 jars of each size. I offer 3 sizes. I live some what close to the show so that is where I will benefit.That is also a factor, and if you have some one who could run home and grab more. Also being a 2 day show you can bring more the next day. I am offering fall scents and the ever so popular vanilla and cinnamon. Try adding sesonal words to your scents like Boo Berry or Grave yard (vineyard). Just for fun. I hope this helps, it takes a long time to figure this out. Are you heating your containers? I hit my containers with the heat gun,and get them pretty hot before I pour. I then cool on a wire rack. I have had no air holes. Also I cooled with the containers covered and not covered. I did not see any difference.Good Luck

Did anyone else go through withdrawls when te site was down? I yell at my kids all the time about going on My Space, I think this is my My Space. I checked about 100 x a day to see if the site was back. All I can say is thank god I have some plcae to go and relate to things..... Welcome back one and all.. :D :D

I love making orbs. Persoanlly, I like a thinner orb. Once you find the right method it will be easy. I also like to decopage on my orbs. You can find tons of holiday paper. Once they are good and dry I dip them back into the wax. They look awesome.The tealite inside shows up great. I had tons of them at my last 2 craft shows.essed florals decoupag and hand painted. Also had some bowls. They did not sell well at all I was bummed b/c I love making them.

I also make melts. I sell them too. I like both.I just made some containers with palm wax, and they had such a scent throw that I thought I had a melt going. I was truly impressed. So yes I would say some candles do have as much scent throw as a melt.

I never had a problem shrinking them, my problem was the smell. It smells like a skunk. I like the way the votive looks, but the smell does not go away. You can hardly smell yht scent from it. I wont say from whom I bought them, but I will say you probally have seen the classified for them.The bags were good it was the smell. Where does everybody get the shrrink wrap from??

I to use feather palm from CS. I need to poke relief holes in mine, next time I make them. I noticed that while trying to level the bottom. I kept going smaller and smaller until I noticed what appeared to be tunnels of space. I cut it open and it had tunnels of space. I havent retried in a while. So after I pour when do I poke holes?? I pour at 190 so should the second pour be at 200?? Any help would be great. I also just got the starburst. What beautiful votives it made. I LOVE all the CS palm

I to am in the basment. I have my own room. Tons of shelving for storage.Also tons of extensions cords. I need to write a map as to what not to plug into things.I am still digging out wax from jars. I never thought to heat them up DUH Dont you think I should know wax melts

CS truly does rock.I love the product and mostly the costumer service. They are soooooooo nice. They actually remember who you are when you call. Now a days that is unheard of. The first questions usually are what type of insurance do you have, or how will you be paying for this.

Is your glass low suppose to crystalize over the entire container. My bottom of the container seems to set up different them the top. I do cool on the wire rack. Any suggestions.

I agree they look great the way they are. Ribbon would make them very Busy.

I think it looks great! What a good job for your first one. Cant wait to see them when you get good at them. LOL I only wish something would turn out that good the first time I made it.
