  1. HI, Welcome to the wonderful world of wax addiction. If you go to the top of this page and go to search, type in fragrances. You will get alot of info..I made the mistake of buying large volumes at first.Try to buy sample packs, or the smalllest amount. Some are not what you think they will be when they arrive to your home.I personally love Millcreek. I have loved everything Ive received from them but it is a matter of personal prefrence..Good Luck and WELCOME again
  2. does anyone have any suggestions on a design of a table. I need something for my cash box, writing orders, receits and wrapping candles that Ive sold. I have a very nice set up with everything except this. I use a card table with a table covering. it just takes away from the rest and uses alot of space. And the space is all ready limited. Thanks for any ideas. My husband could build this or I can purchase..
  3. Oh My God, I am so happy that Donita likes this. now I feel secure with this. I think Donita is the GOD of candles. I used 5055 and 1 ounce micro per pound added to it.I really packed the shells in it.I now am going to try to decoupage on them, double dip them after they have dryed. This will be tricky, I will post if I succed. Thanks everyone.
  4. thanks yes you can steal my idea( you dont live in NY do you?)
  5. I think if you believe you can achieve......Just test your products and keep going. You will be addicted. I would not make tons at once, if your going to sell find out what sells in your area. Otherwise you will be stuck with a lot stuff.. Good Luck in all
  6. I was thinking wedding to. I have a huge pillar I made the same way. Only shells on the very top. Same colors. You could put the pillar in the center of the table and the small ones at table settings. Also thinking of making them for outside with citrnella tealites. What do you all yhink. I have a huge show in 2 weeks so please give me all your ideas. Thanks Gotta go melt my wax
  7. Hello, I used tarts cut into chunks, filled up my votive molds with the chunks. I then poured my c-3 on them. They came out great, burned even better.
  8. Hi No its not melting the wax around it. Like I said the tealite has been burning forever in it and it is fine. Yes the tealite slips right out. I sprayed it really good, when I made it. Ive changed the tealite with no problems
  9. Ok My friend and I started playing around today. We took a pyrex dish, inserted a tealite cup, poured parrafin wax and this is what we got. i blew some of the shells out. It has been burning for 8 hours and it is perfect. tell me what you think, and do you think people would like these?? yes you can take out the tealite cup to be replaced with a new one. Thanks
  10. I like tho one with no ribbon. It looks much more professional to me. Couldnt you add a ribbon to that one? Either way they are VERY nice pillars.
  11. Hi Tarts are one of my biggest sellers. Of course they are, they are my least favorite to make.I bag mine 2 in a cello bag.I have 32 bins on my gridwall full of tarts at the shows I do. I have brown lunch bags (classy)for the costumers to bag thier own.Does anyone have a wholesale place to buy nice tart burners?
  12. I agree tape them together. Those are so beautiful, any way you display them they will look great
  13. They are soooooooo pretty. I make lots of candles parrafin and soy. Will some one please tell me how or where I can go to learn how to make rustic pillars. I never made a pillar. I make orbs and canes votives tealites containers and tarts. I would LOVE to add these to my line, I hope mine would look half as pretty as yours Thanks
  14. I did very well with gift baskets. I tried keeping the price under 20.00. That was the best selling item at the xmas show I did. I filled them with various types of my candles. I found the baskets at garage sales over the summer. And the dollar store had so many asscessories for the baskets. Hope you like this idea. Good Luck with your open house.
  15. I agree it is hard to charge that much, BUT you did not mention your time. I think that is the hardest part. Paying ourselfs for the time and work we put in to our candle making. Does any one else have this problem?????
  16. I use Coconut Grove from Millcreek. It is very pleasant and warm smelling. It makes me feel like Im on a tropical island sipping a pina colda. I live in Buffalo N.Y. So you know its good if I feel that way
  17. If i was not in to the real things Id buy yours. They are very nice:rolleyes2

  19. tHE HEAT GUN WORKS AMAZING ON A SPICKET THAT IS CLOGGED. nOW i AM TOTALLY LOVING MY TURKEY FRYERS AGAIN....
  20. That is gorgeous. Very elegant. Im sure the bride will LOVE it..
  21. I like them alot. They are very pretty. The colors are perfect.
  22. Very nice... A warning dont try the orbs unless you plan on buying a gross of balloons.I just purchased my 4th case of 5055 wax and bought a gross of balloons. They are soooooo addicting.. Post them and show us when you make your first. If I can help you just ask. I can tell you all the stupid mistakes I did in the begining;)
  23. OK Now I am being really stupid. What are regular wax chunks?? Is that what Im suppose to use when embedding objects so thatthey adhere to the outside shell. It all makes since now except of course the part about regular chunks :o
  24. Ok Im still loving my fryers, but... My spicket does not always work. Any suggestions???? Even when the wax is hot it still doesnt work. :embarasse
  25. Hi I just switched from presto pots to turkey fryers. I two thought it was scary to put the wax right on top of the heating element.I did it and it was good. Its a great way to melt large amounts of wax. I still use my prest pots for smaller amounts. It really depends on how much wax you need to melt. Just dont be afraid of the turkey fryer
