  1. Your wholesale plan sounds really nice and looks very professional. I wish my wholesale program sounded that good
  2. So how do you thread the tabbed wicks into the votives? Do you pop them out of the votives clamshell and then replace them after they are wicked?
  3. I am very interested in trying out the votive clamshells but I have a few questions. I know that you don't glue the wicks to the bottom of the clamshell and you probably couldn't use a wick pin so do you just place the wick into the votive after it has cooled enought to stick to the bottom. That is what I have done with some testers but I just don't like the "feel" of it because its kinda hard to know for sure your wick stays straight if it is very flimsy. Another quick question, does anyone have a wick suggestion for EcoSoya PB in these clamshells. I have tested several and I am just not finding one that burns well IMO.
  4. Yea, I have worked with it a few months now and only know how to add stock and check people out. I have stopped using it. I am using my HCM Pro to manage my stock and print out receipts now.

  6. NOOOOOOOOOOO....STOP. DO NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING. I have a freebie that I use that is amazing. I will find the link. Give me a few minutes.
  7. Ya might wanna check out Gellumiantions. Same FOs from the same company but a better price. www.gelluminations.com.
  8. Not sure about Ohio but here in Mississippi, I talked with the state advisor and he said go ahead with the sole proprietorship for at least 2 years so you can establish your business. He said then you could go with LLC. He said that the sole propritorship cost nothing to start or end so its great to make sure your business will succeed but if it doesn't your not out all the money it takes to start an LLC.
  9. Someone who works more with paraffin chime in and call me wrong but I feel soy is so much easier. It requires no repours for me, no frosting, smooth tops. I guess it all depends on what type of soy you are using. I am using EcoSoya CBA.
  10. I know you already got the answer via PM but I just wanted to put my comments where everyone could read them... My site was set up virtually instantly. They had me up and running in about an hour if even that long. They were also quick at helping out with the rest of the process such as getting things added to my cart, etc.
  11. Looks magnificent. I thought about getting one but I have a sports car and it would almost be unreadable.
  12. Not sure where you could find them but, you may already know this, you have to be VERY carefully when selecting wine glasses for candlemaking. They are very thin and easily cracked.
  13. Looks really nice. I am in the process of getting mine ready now. Another local business and I are working together on ours.
  14. Well, I went up on my 8 oz tins. I had planned on going up to $7 from 6$ but went ahead and went up to 8$. With shipping going up on top of the soy going up, it probably won't be long before another increase will be instore.
  15. I just went up on my products and it has not hurt business at all. It actually suprised me.
  16. Completely correct. LOL. All I saw was the size and how the candle looked overall. I didn't even read the description.
  17. You said it perfectly sockmonkey. I factor in location, wthat the store offers, and the amount of business a place does BEFORE I even consider wholesaling with them. I also state in every contract we sign with a wholesaler that we reserve the right to terminate the wholesale agreement at any time for any feasable reason.
  18. The area in which most of my wholesale accounts are is usually small cities. I normally agree with each wholesale customer that they will be the only person in the city carrying my product unless it is a larger city and then it is about a three mile radius. Im pretty much like barncat, they know who they don't want to compete with so if there is a store outside of that three mile radius that they particularly don't want to carry my candles then I can work with them.
  19. http://www.carolinastamp.com/punchsample1.htm click on view all designs and check out design 65
  20. I use zinc in my soy but I have a ton of Eco wicks along with tons of LX and others that I hope to test one day.
