  1. I'm ready to shrink wrap my items, but I need to know what I need and what suppliers sell these types of items?? I am clueless when it comes to shrink wrapping so any help would be appreciated.... , thanks!!!
  2. I don't know if these are taken or if someone has mentioned any of these names, but the ones that come to mind for me are: Au Natural Natural Aromas
  3. You cant forget: www.fromnaturewithlove.com
  4. I love your tealights with the embedded lips...very cute!!!
  5. Thanks Carrie for the advice, I was so worried that a pippette might not work or that the soap would dry out but if I work fast enough I should be okay. Thanks again.
  6. I recently bought a mold, the mold has cavities in it that require me to make it one color while the rest of the mold is another. Do I color inside the cavity or do I color in another container and then pour into the cavity?? The cavity is kinda small, so I was wondering if I could use a pippette to pour my soap mixture into the cavity? Any help would be appreciated!!
  7. I know that some use the low sweat white mp base, to get the cp look, and in a swap awhile back I believe someone used it and it had me fooled.
  8. Those look good GG, I fell in love with pillars after the first time I made them now I'm totally addicted. I really like the green pillar with the mottle, the mottle kinda reminds me of snowflakes. Keep up the good work!!!:highfive:
  9. I really like those, are they hard to do???
  10. Is this my beautiful GG butter???? MMMMM.....yummy!!!!
  11. I recently made a pillar for my supervisor, after months of her asking me and guess what.....she absolutely loved it!!!! So much so that she wants them in all shapes and sizes. She moving into her new house and wants them to be part of her decor. She asked me how much it would be, I told her basically it would depend on how many she wanted. I need to make up a price list, I saw a formula on how to figure out the cost so I got that part figured out, now I need to know her color scheme and fragrance selection. I am totally psyched because I didn't realize how a collection of pillars in my cube could spark up so much attention.
  12. Everything looks nice, I only hope to have a room set aside for my craft. As of right now I use the kitchen, dining room, front closet, and part of the linen(sp) closet.... I know I really need to get it together. I told my fiancee that when we buy our first home it must have a spare bedroom, well he told me that he's going to put me in the garage if it has an electrical outlet. I guess that would be okay as long as it's my space!!!
  13. Here's a pic of a 3" Pillar I made for my supervisor, (she's been trying to get me to make one for her for awhile now in this particular scent), it's scented with Downey's Lavender Vanilla, it's a popular scent at my job. Both layers are scented in LV. I'm packaging it inside a Lavender organza bag with a hag tag, similar to the ones I used for the 4th of July swap. I hope she enjoys it!!!
  14. Thanks for everyone's input!!! I think the shine is just for me as I don't have any customer's complaining so as the old saying goes, if it ain't broke why fix it.
  15. A pillar kit from Peaks, is always a good starting place as well, and then you can venture from there.
  16. Is it me or does this wax have no shine? I've been using the PB for some time now, and I really like it. I have a couple of hangups: 1. Pillars and votives are hard to come out of the mold when using wick pins (which I am sure can be rectified, I just haven't figured out any other method besides being patient;) ). 2. The biggest hangup I have is that they are not shiny or glossy enough. Is there an additive I can use to put a little shine on my pillars or should I just try a new soy wax? :undecided (Which requires more testing which I am not looking forward too)
  17. I just got Peak's version, and I love it!!!
  18. In the near future I would love to have a shop but in the meantime, I am making candles for friends and family and some associates. I would love to have a couple of wholesale accounts and try out a couple of craft shows but that won't be for another year or so. I still need to perfect some techniques before I ever think of selling on that level. I must say that I am truly addicted to making candles and soaps and it's all I talk about so me having this as a full-time business in the future will be a reality and not just a dream.
  19. Your shop looks good PA, and the paint job is awesome (very creative)!!! I can't wait till it's done with products displayed. Great Job!!!:highfive:
  20. I love it Mags, that is most definitely my theme song, would that happen to be the Guantlet (sp) Soaping 2006 Grads, class song!!!! LOL
  21. Bella, I just wanted to say I think your website looks nice, it's very clean and your products look nice. I also like the fact that you are incorporating some type of Bella club, which is cool. :highfive: As for the whole soy vs parrafin, I choose neither side as to me they both have their advantages and disadvantages. I personally like them both and I plan to offer the both of them on my website. My suggestion to you is to take the criticism with a grain of salt and learn from them. The adjusments now you make may save you headache later on.
  22. Linanya, I see you're hooked on m&p, your creations are looking good and that cream pie looks good enough to eat and I bet it smells dee-li-cious!!!! Keep it up, I can't wait to see you next project!!!:highfive:
  23. Earlier this year I posted a new thread about me trying to register cozyaromas.com through Go Daddy, but at the time the site was under someone else. Here's the link from the previous post: http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12266&highlight=cozyaromas Well the site was up for renewal at the end of April, so in the meantime, I backordered cozyaromas.com and registered cozy-aromas.com. Low and behold the original registrant decided not to renew and it went up for auction. Well since I backordered the name I bid on the site for 10.00 buck and I won it, it will officially be mine tomorrow...I'm so excited. :yay: Now that I have my templates done for my website I can begin to work on it. For right now my site will only be used as a catalog for now of products, no selling. So I need to get my pics together and hopefully by christmas it will be up and running. Wish me luck!!! :yay:
  24. Wow I must say those are absolutely beatiful, and great arrangement Mags!!!! Kudos to all the graduates, yipee I'm a Gauntlet Graduate!!!!! :yay:
