  1. Congrats, Mindy on a job well done!!!:highfive: You have to show us some pics when you get a chance. I hope when I start making pillars I have as much fun as you are having right now!!! Keep up the good work!!!!
  2. okay, try this http://www.crabapplesoap.com and look in the upper right hand corner or click on soapmaking kits. This link should work, at least I hope so!!!
  3. Oh my gosh, I love everyone's idea....I knew I would get some good responses on this board!!! :yay: I just don't want my logo to look to much like the Celestial Seasonings, Sleepy Time tea box. They have a picture of a bear seating in front of a fireplace in a rocking chair with a hat on his head and a quilt draped across him with some tea sitting next to him on a table... I'll think of something, that will include quilts, fireplaces, and rocking chairs, I love the concept!!!
  4. I need help with creating a logo for my business name. Please tell me what you think when you hear the name "CozyAromas". I want my customers to feel a sense of family and togetherness when they hear my name. My slogan is, "Where the comforts of home are just a scent away." Any ideas will be very much appreciated!!!
  5. I thought about buying a kit from them too, but they were missing something in there kit. They don't have any lye in their kit, and lye is pretty scarce in my area, so I think I may go with a kit I saw on www.crabapplesoap.com they have everything except a scale, it includes a 3lb mold, lye (already measured), safety goggles & glasses, an instructional video tape, and other things. The price is 89.00 without the stick blender which is an extra 15.00 bucks. I've been comtemplating between the 2 companies and can't make up mind for nothing. I've heard really nice things about southernbelle so I'm sure you probably won't go wrong getting a kit from them. If you decided to go with them let me know how you like their kit. Good Luck:)
  6. I think I am finally ready to make a soy container candle, but first I want to make sure I have the right wax and wicks for an 16 oz apothecary jar. Are these items okay: 10lbs of 100% Kosher hydrogenated flaked soy wax. RRD 47 cotton & RRD 50 wicks-6 inch wicks for containers Any suggestions will be appreciated, thanks in advance for anyone's help!!!
  7. Tara, my favorite color is blue...so your packaging is perfect to me. I love your muslin bags and the logo on them makes them look professional. Is your soap MP or CP? Great Job!!! :highfive:
  8. Julie, your basket is very nice!! I just love that burgundy color, perfect for the fall, and I am sure the couple will like the basket as well. Keep up the good work!!!:highfive:
  9. Bruce, your candles are a work of art worthy of praise!!! I never seen such beautiful candles in my life, I really love the contrast of the black/white candle very awe inspiring!!! Keep up the good work , you most definitely rock:rockon: , when it comes to sculpting candles you get nothing but a from me!!!
  10. I agree your presentation is beautiful, it makes you enjoy the Fall season; which is my favorite by the way. Those cini-minis look good enough to eat and I bet they smell good, did you use the fo cinnamon buns?? That pumpkin pie would look real nice as part of a centerpiece for thanksgiving.
  11. An Enchanted Evening My Summer Blues or just Summer Blues Blue Lagoon (which is my favorite, reminds me of the ocean)
  12. The addiction is what gets ya!!!! Just the different fragrances that you can use to scent your candles is an addiction in itself!!! One day you will start with 1 or 2, than it will double and before you know it, you have over 20 fragrances , or does that only happen to me:laugh2: !! Peaks has some nice scents, if you get a starter kit from them they will also send a couple of scents to match your candle kit and as an added bonus a sample of another fragrance that you will more than likely fall in love with, !! Well good luck and welcome to world of candlemaking!!!!
  13. The container candle in the middle, the red one, is really nice. Did you decorate that jar or was it already decorated like that..nice presentation overall. For it to be your first try I think your pillar candle turned out nice, I just love the designs on them and the colors...keep up the good work :highfive: !!
  14. Congratulations on a job well done!!! Make sure you post pics of what you're doing, I would love to see them!! Pam M.
  15. It's been a while since I've been back on the msg boards, and I must admit I like the new format and I'm glad to be back. I am hoping to make a candle set for my some of my co-workers for xmas and I was hoping to package either a tart warmer and tarts or a container candle with a couple of votive and tealights in a box. I was wondering if anybody knows where I can find a box with a clear top, that can hold a warmer or an container candle in it comfortably without looking to crowded or tacky? Thanks as always for everyone's help and once again it feels so good to be back!!!! Pamela M. Member of CT since 5/05
