I think having a trade magazine would be an awesome and helpful idea for both newbies and experienced chandlers. Techniques, Business, Marketing, and Advertising ideas would be appreciated. Maybe you could even spotlight an chandler and supplier each month. Maybe you could highlight some of their achievements and how they managed to stay in the business. Something like that that could inspire all chandlers alike.

I just finished melting some m&p and now before I can pour into my mold I have to wait until the base gets down to 140 degree before pouring over soap curls If I don't wait, my soap curls will melt. How do I allow my base to cool without forming a thin layer of skin? Do I continue to stir like a mad women?? Any help would be appreciated.

I see your view Michi, and I believe it could clash I guess that's where the creativity in the packaging would come from. I like both the original drawings as well as the drawing in color, I may have to pick both just for situations where the colors could clash. Thanks for the different viewpoint.

Hey guys, sorry I took it down....I was reading another thread about someone's wording was on another's person website due to a designer's error. Well as I was looking at my graphic designer's website and I saw something almost similiar to mine so I took my graphic off of this site, until I had a clarification because I didn't want to be in conflict with someone else. But everything is cleared up, just a misunderstanding. I'm sorry to keep everyone waiting.

I think it's totally amazing seeing the tranformation from pencil sketch to graphic, I think Kristal from www.peddlergraphics.com did an awesome job and I give her much Kudos for a job well done!!! I've noted minor modifications that needs to be done to the label, which I will convey to her, but overall I think it's great and I'm glad that you all felt the same.

Well here it is, and I personally love it!!!! I may change the font but other than that I think it's perfect!!! Tell me what you think....please excuse the word sample going across as that will not be on the finished product.

Thanks for the replies, thus far. I am going with sketch number 2, it is being refined as we speak, this will become my actual logo. Sketch #2 will become my business card, once color is added and the actual graphic is made I'll post it again.

I am listing a couple of sketches, that someone has made for me, and I need my candletech's family help in picking out one that seems like a perfect fit for a logo. Be honest and tell me what you think!!! Remember these are just sketches, sorta like a rough draft. I personally like sketch #2, I think this one would look good on a label, and sketch #3 would be perfect on business cards in my opinion.

Call me crazy, but I would use both !!! I think the black and white logo would look good for example on an aluminum spray bottle where as the color logo might light good jars. JMHO I am sure no matter which logo you use it will look nice. Bizzy, you do good work, I might have to pm you regarding a logo for myself.

Not yet, but I have met others who've had dealings with her in the past from another local forum of soap and candlemakers in Georgia. My last resort is to file a police report within her district, because paying for items, and not receiving them I think would be internet fraud, especially if it's a functional website. That would be stealing, so I am going to check with them tomorrow, and see what happens. In the meantime I'm waiting for papal's response. I really hate doing things like this, but I've given them ample time to respond as well as try to work our some type of agreement. The money was taken out of my account and I have no merchandise, and it's been almost a month.

Thank you all for your kind remarks, I really appreciate it!!! I tried it out this morning and the suds were fantastic. My fiancee won't try it , he doesn't want to go to work smelling like chocolate. So instead I am having a co-worker try it out, and I guess I'll have to make a bar for him. I told him since I am making soap now, don't expect anymore store or name brands around here anymore. It's CozyAromas from now on baby!!!!

I love the "what the heck is it bar", can I have it??? It kinda reminds me of those black bulbs, and how it florescents anything that's a light color....I think it cool!!! Your stamp turned out nice on the cocoa butter soap. Keep it up!!!

Well I was going to do this for the swap but it's to big, instead I have a better idea...So those of you who joined the swap, watch out!!! Anyways, this bar is scented milk chocolate with specks of sweet almond while the other side is scented with coconut. I wanted it to remind me of an almond joy, but it's not dark enough, maybe next time I'll add some chocolate powder to get it a little darker. I hope you like it!!!!

Hopefully, something comes out of this, I just figured since I didn't stay so far away, I would get it sooner than later, kwim? I really just wanted some sort of communication as to when I could expect it, if I was told it was going to be late I could understand that, but not hearing from them irks me. I guess some individuals just don't believe in good customer service. I will let you know the results of the complaint, I should know something by Tuesday, as that is the deadline.
