  1. Thanks TexasBrat, I really like those crayon boxes....I think those might do the trick. Thanks for the link!!!
  2. Thanks EMercier, these may actually be better than trying to find a company that actually has empty playing card boxes. Thanks for the info!!! Plus there's enough room to decorate the boxes.
  3. I'm in need of some empty playing card boxes for my packaging of my m&p playing cards. I did a search on the web and the only thing I came up with was websites that makes custom playing cards and majority of the smallest orders were for 100 packs which includes cards and boxes, I only need about 20 for a swap for now. Although I could use a regular soap box and maybe decorate it to look like a pack of cards. I believe if I get the packaging together I could really pull it off. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
  4. Very nice, they look similar to mine that's in the newbie soap swap, but yours is way cleaner than mine. So far CM is one of my favorites to soap, I used Peaks CM, which is a BBW dupe as well. Keep up the good work!!!:highfive:
  5. I am making layered votives with Palm Wax and I was just wondering how do you prevent the wax from dripping from each layer on the side??? TIA for any assistance!!
  6. Oh Scented you got the LLC too huh???? I love it I just got mine last week and I can't wait to try in some CP. SW is just as addictive to me as this board , especially when you're a member and get discounts, a girl like me loves a savings!!!!
  7. PA, I absolutely love your whole setup....the setup compliments your products!!!!
  8. Wow, Kristine that's very thoughtful of you to help out your fellow CT's. I wish I had enough products under my belt or I would apply myself. Good luck on finding the best candidate to help you out, I have a few suggestions on who's ideas would fit well with your company but I'll keep them to myself.
  9. Okay, oob Lemon Verbana smells like Lemon Heads, the candy I used to eat as when I was younger, and still do when I get the craving. LLC oob smells just like Lemon Pledge, don't call me crazy but I love that Lemon smell, so that's cool with me. OMH oob smells just like the real stuff, it kinda has a strong smell to it I don't know if it's the honey or oatmeal, but it's dead on just a little strong imho. Hopefully it's not as strong is soap but overall I like all 3 scents and I can't wait to try them all out.
  10. Thank you so much everyone for your kind words. I'm just glad I was finally able to do it, afterall practice makes perfect!!!! I let a couple of friends see them, and they too were impressed, unfortunately they have to wait 4 weeks to try these babies out, but I tell them it's like wine, it gets better with time.
  11. My fragrances from The Scent Works came in today and I must say I am indeed a happy camper. I just had to get the LLC because I wanted to see what the hype was all about, since everybody talks about it on this board. I also got OMH and Lemon Verbana. Can anyone tell me how some of these scents work in soy and how does the LLC and Verbana work in CP. Now I've got to test these, boy that's going to be fun:rolleyes2 ...so let the fun begin!!!
  12. WTG Robin, I'm sure if AA knew how great your products are just like I do they wouldn't hesitate to add a pic. Imagine, how many people read those magazines everyday, top executives, music moguls, and people in between probably look through those magazines. Who know's one day you might be on Ms. O's list of favorite things.
  13. It took awhile, but it finally worked. The hardest part was trying to figure out the soap calc. Mags how big do you want our bars to be??? I have sample sizes as well as some bigger slices, but not many, more samples than any.
  14. I have a Misty Creek mold and a Southern Belle mold, after this soap challenge I want a Kelsei mold, you have a much more uniform bar imo and you don't have to deal with lining the mold.
  15. Mag those are some cool pics, looks like my adventure...I can't wait to see the cut pics!!!
  16. I finally got soap that I am proud to send out, pics posted in gallery!!!!
  17. I am so proud of myself these really turned out great and guess what I didn't get zapped....so I did it!!!! :yay: These are scented cuccumber melon, I have two pics one is of my mini slices and the other is the larger slices. Each slice is not even so I may be in trouble with regards to the swap. I kinda got carried away with the cutter:whistle: . Mental note to self: Get a kelsei mold, the wood molds are nice but hate lining the darn things!!! Scented: I did it right this time, yay!!! :whoohoo:Notice I even have some swirls....Go Pam, Go Pam :yay: . Okay I think I've done enough chanting, I think everyone get's the point on how excited I am....
  18. I hope I'm not asking to much but can we get the suppliers separated by state, please??? Here's my selection: GPE: www.goplanetearth.com (Michigan) CSC (??): www.coastalscents.com (Florida)
  19. Well I can tell you from my personal experience, is that when I made my second batch of soap, I too got zapped. When I took the soap out the mold, it was nice and solid, after cutting it I noticed small white circles on certain bars when I did a tongue test, sure enough it zapped. I let it sit for a 3 more days, and although the rest of the soap taste like soap, the white circles, still zapped me. So I will need to do a rebatch. It usually zaps when the lye hasn't fully incorporated into the soap. I have a cooling rack that I got from the dollar store to put my soap on to finish the saponification process. I hope I could be of assistance.
  20. Looks very nice to me, reminds me white puffy clouds on a bright clear sunny day!!! I think the different bars makes them unique, they are not cookie cutter soaps but each one has it's own individualized style, which makes them cool. Be proud of your soaps as I think you did a great job!!!!!
  21. Wahoo Lovely Lathers, now that wasn't bad now was it?? Once you accomplish your first batch it's no stopping ya!!!
  22. I don't have my own shop but when I do open up a shop or start my website, I plan on selling other people's homemade or hand-crafted items such as greeting cards or wooden items. I also like the idea of having mood cd's or relaxation cds, you know the cd's that have sounds of the rain or other relaxing sounds. I have a friend who writes her poems on parchment paper in calligraphy so I thought that might go hand in hand. But as mentioned before beaded jewlery, potpouri (sp), teas, and special blended coffee all works!!!
  23. Thank you bunny for responding....I didn't know what to do I as looking through the soapmaking companion, on various websites looking for an answer, but I wasn't quite sure. It's crazy, I did my first batch of cp and rebatch all in the same week!!!
  24. The batch of soap I made a couple of days is finally cut. However I have a few concerns that I need help on. When I cut the batch, a nice swirl can be seen on the ends however a couple of the the bars that were in the center have circular white patches, that I think are lye. I think it is lye for the simple fact that when I tongue test the circular patch my tongue feels a tingle whereas the rest of the bar tastes like soap, aaack!! :lipsrseal My question is this... do I need to rebatch or do I let the bars sit for a couple of more days or weeks to see if the zing goes away??? If I do rebatch, what type of milk is okay to use??? Thanks for any help!!!
